    i've been thinking the harrisburg area gets way less since that's just how the patterns been the past few weeks. we've ended up with way less snow/ice/sleet than modeled or forecast each time lol so wouldnt surprise me if this happens again and we get way less than the 6-9 inches called for. really sucks that none of these storms have been overachievers here

    freezing rain here currently. though i hear a lot of water running off the house so i dont think its freezing up very well

    i probably should have posted his tweet he had for this. apparently he's using a algorithm that more accurately predicts how much ice will fall compared to what the models are actually showing so what i posted is actually the lower end of what the hrrr was showing. i do agree ice is really hard to forecast and we always usually get much less

    Everyone's been on edge and worn out due to the pandemic so I could definitely see things get heated in some areas. As much as I'd love to see this much snow I'd rather people maintain their sanity lol

    im pretty young but i cant remember any snowstorm lasting as long as this one ever has. definitely has to be a record of some sort

    There's been no snow on the radar for 2 hours now but it's still snowing lol and yeah i made sure to check that it wasn't because of all the blowing snow. I don't remember ever seeing this. It's not like flurries but like a steady light snow

    Same thing here in Enola...we're right on the edge of the dry slot but it's still snowing at a pretty decent clip for the past few hours now

    Yeah I'm having a hard time seeing us get any heavy snows the rest of the day either. Hope I'm wrong though

    Yeah I came into this storm at 6-12. Looks like we're gonna get that. It's easy to see the crazy amounts the models put out and then your hype get deflated when they get close to nothing like that. Decembers storm taught me a lesson lol but that's because I was excited since it hadn't snowed in 2 years

    Really hoping we perform well with this. Got burnt with the december storm with them calling 18+ inches here and we only got 8. It feels like it's happening all over again...maybe it'll do the reverse this time or maybe I'm being pessimistic lol either way having it snow for this long a duration is exciting though

    That's why I kept my expectations in check for this storm. They're calling 6-10 inches here now. Hilarious when you see bigger places calling 12-18in lmao in the morning they bumped up totals to 10-14 but then later today 6-10

    I've been trying to stay off the hype train for this storm since I was burnt by decembers storm when they called 18-20 inches here and we only got 8. It was still nice but I'm very hesitant buying into any of the really high totals yet. Hoping euro still holds steady. My expectations right now is maybe a foot of snow at most. Anything more than that and it's a plus

    Crazy video. they haven't had a snowstorm this big in 50 years. i always forget places like that don't have systems in place to handle such a heavy and huge amount of snow so the city basically becomes paralyzed. Good luck getting to a hospital or anywhere in that lol

    The warning at the top of the site is pretty cute But yeah this winter is looking pretty exciting snow wise. Especially after that record setting low snow year beforehand. Being above average this early on is looking good.

    those couple hours of sleet really cut numbers but finally the sleet is gone and there's some huge flakes out there now

    im surprised at how cold the temps are holding at some places. models kept showing it warming up gradually. by now it should have been 29 degrees but its still 25 degrees

    i'd be fine with a foot of snow even if it doesn't hit us as hard. harrisburg hasn't had a storm in december that was bigger than 13.9 inches since its very tough to get a big storm like this this early in the season. most of the big stuff always happens in january and february

    I took a look at the top 10 snowstorms on record and i can't find a single one that occurred around here in december. every single one was in january/february except for the march superstorm of 1993 which was kind of an anomaly in itself. there's potential to get close to that list or on it if we get 18 inches or more around harrisburg
