  1. Gotta say it's absolutely gorgeous out. 62 and sunny.
  2. Went up to 71 degrees at 1 am lastnight...probably one of the worst winter nights I've ever had for sleeping because of how hot it was. Had to close the windows in the bedroom 2 times because of both lines of storms blowing rain in. And after the first one went the temp would shoot back up and it was just uncomfortable sleeping lol. I don't have any central ac and have a coal stove going downstairs so lol yeah it was hard to keep cool. It really felt like it was a May night or something.
  3. The low here on saturday might be 60 degrees lol...that's gotta be close to a record. Definitely gonna have the windows open all night.
  4. Yeah I'm guessing they assumed it wasn't going to snow much and whatever did snow wasn't going to lay.
  5. People mistake warnings and watches so often that I even see it happen in shows.
  6. I had the most amazing lightning show on saturday. I was right on the edge of one of the storms and you could see these crazy lightning strikes all over the clouds right next to a clear blue sky. It was stunning. The lightning was going off 5-6 times per second.
  7. Definitely. It's actually scary that so many people will distort reality in favor of anything the president says. These things have been happening to other communities and areas of the country since this administration took office. It's only when he targeted meteorologists, NWS and the weather community that some people finally realized what Trump and his administration have been doing. For anyone complaining why everyone is making a big deal about this...if we sit idly by and say and do nothing then this will become the norm.
  8. He's actually defending this? My god. That goon blocked me on twitter months ago because he couldn't handle the truth of what I was saying in response to one of his political tweets lol. Doesn't surprise me sadly. He's a smart guy...when he wants to be.
  9. That was some crazy thunder and lightning around 6 am. Thunder sounded way different than anything I've heard all year unless I'm just imagining things but it did wake me up. In my dreams it was thunderstorming since I was hearing it before I woke up lol Oh yeah, I remember Irene pretty vividly. For it being right off the coast we still lost power here for a few hours late at night. Winds were pretty impressive imo. I don't think we'll see much from Dorian except maybe one or two outer bands if it's close enough. If it hugs the coast then it could impact New England/Maine and Nova Scotia especially. But by that time it'd be transitioning to extratropical.
  10. Same here lmao he blocked me a few months ago too. I wasn't even being mean to him either...
  11. I actually needed a jacket this morning. I love it. I'm ready for fall.
  12. lol I like how that line of storms basically split apart once it got near me.
  13. Definitely. I'll take a 2 hour lightning show like that any day. Barely rained either so it made it really easy to watch. I'm wondering how long that line to our west holds up. It looks like there's a couple of pop ups in lancaster.
  14. This is some of the best thunder and lightning I've seen in a couple years. It's been nonstop for 1 1/2 hours at least.
  15. Well my parents just had their 40 year old cherry blossom tree snap in half. They've lost 4 or 5 trees that old since last year. The wind around 4 pm was pretty crazy.
  16. Gonna be at my nieces birthday party tomorrow...it's an outside party and it's supposed to feel like 113. At least they have a pool but the pool water is almost 80 lol so barely refreshing at all
  17. Yeah looks like there's no more flood threat or any rain at all.
  18. We've gotta be at a record for most flood watches in 2 years...right? I was helping my dad dig a trench around his shed and filling it with rocks the other day so the water stops flooding and getting into his shed. Has a tube that transports the water to the back of the yard into the gutter behind the fence. He's had that shed for over 30 years and he never had problems with it flooding the inside until the past 2 years.
  19. The rain has been relentless for hours now. Supposedly we've had 3 inches so far and there's another 1-2 inches to come in the next hour or two.
  20. 76 degrees with a 72 degree dew point at 2 am. It's nasty out. Makes me grateful I have ac...
  21. Felt like 97 degrees around 11 am. It's a lot better now but still kinda bad. Luckily been avoiding all of the rain.
  22. These storms were way better than anything I got during our 3 day severe weather stretch. Also I'm pretty sure I saw a plane get struck by lightning lol
  23. I went to their site and checked the day 1 outlook and that's what was there. I guess they just changed it? Checked and the one you posted seems right.
