    I think there would still need to be a synoptic driver. SST alone won’t do it outside of shore roads in high summer.

    Looks like we take the final steps to summer over the next week to 10 days. Right in time for the solstice.

    I’m surprised we reached the mid 70s today with this smoke. That’s a solid +20 diurnal.

    During the first week of June 1991 I came east to find a place to move into by mid July. I had a connection in PHL where it was thundery and humid. Finally arrived here to cool and dank which heralded a multi day misery including one day with a high near 50 and heavy rain. It cleared a day before I left and we were hot by my departure. That was a pretty hot summer. I arrived for good with temperatures in the upper 90s.

    I would argue that this weekend is as bad as it gets in June. But like I said-nbd. My outdoor time isn’t relegated to 2 weekend days.

    Left home around noon and now in Worcester AOA 90 door to door. Some ok towers building just to our west.

    Absolutely miserable first week of June en route.

    Numbers look more spring vs summer as a potent front clears through in time for the weekend. Hopefully wrong but ORH stays in the low to mid 60s. Cool for the first weekend of June.

    Ebbs and flows. I’ve learned to not rely on consistent summer wx before the solstice. After that, old man winter is at bay even in his spring home in Labrador.

    Great experience! Funny thing is something got messed up and they couldn’t find the reservation (made by our daughter). She was so downcast and while we were trying to cheer her up they somehow got a table for the 5 of us! Mild humid night in northern here-almost has a summer feel.
