JD, 2009-10 was disappointing but didn’t your location get it good on 12/19/09? Totals for the the year here were about 20% below normal but NYC south especially BWI/DC got buried.
I think he understands and it's all an act. Either that or he'll be sorely disappointed in the coming decades.
I used to be infuriated at this weather around the holidays. This year I'm enjoying it.
Are you aware that Boxing Day gave BOS 18+? The melt was about 3 days later followed by a quick reload. We also had a white Christmas that year and overall a much better December.
Also, Will’s Nino years turnaround are much better examples. 2002 had snow in every winter month and even plowable in November.
Brett whines a lot but that’s his strategy to get snow.
Not great examples. 2002 had decent snow in November and December. 2010 had a good to great December depending on location. I get the point though-we’ve seen bog turnarounds. 2006-07 is an example where cherry blossoms were blooming in January before freezing in February.
We booked a place in San Antonio and plan to drive to as near Eagle Pass as possible for the eclipse. I'm not risking the frequent cloudiness in April in the northeast.
Getting later now. But at the same time I remember the gtg in Worcester in January 2015. I was thinking maybe futility and asked Will to call BOS snow for the season-I think we were under 5 inches at that point. When he said 53 inches I was surprised. Pickles and I talked about on the ride back to Boston. Who’d hav thought we’d get the all timer a few weeks later….
All this angst over something we can't control. I've come to realize that at my age, waking up healthy and functioning and having an idea where I am is a win. Snow would just enhance it but lack of doesn't diminish it.
Apple Music for me. But yeah. It was great for us but the generation above us hated it. Inflation far worse than now and long lasting, crime, unemployment, but when you’re young those things don’t seem to worry you.
