My snow thing is to watch heavy snow fall, get out in it while it’s fresh, then count the minutes till it’s gone so I don’t have to worry about breaking bones on the ice.

No. Maybe day of event but NAM is never a complete go to except under certain circumstances-maybe severe wx. That’s an old myth about tossing the euro/gfs close in. I believed it but learned otherwise.

Honestly I think outside of 36 it is wonky often.

I think we went back and forth with clown range on NAM for the blizzard 2 years ago. A few runs close in had a clean whiff.

All of those clown maps are guesses and produced by the vendor, not the model. I would advise ignoring them and looking at soundings, snow growth, and qpf.

I’m sticking with 4-10 for me. Higher number is gaining some credence and in reality 6-10 would probably be a better forecast.

Looks to me alot better in general vs op. CT nearly state wide screw zone probably only exists in the op and perhaps a few of the 51 members.

My wife (who is in Chicago caring for her mom for the past several weeks) asked how much snow is Boston getting Sunday? My answer is anywhere from 4-10 inches and probably somewhere in the middle of that range. Meaning snowblower gets used.

The good news is we have a warning event likely for a large part of the region. But little nuanced features and how far north this carries TBD. Euro actually gave parts of NNE some love and will mid level magic be underestimated everywhere?
