I thought with the trof going negative it and confluence moving east it would come further north. I honestly think this is a Dendrite event.

Gets to just south of NYC as far as slamming snow but moderate snow up through CT/RI/southern MA.

You can see how the GFS may well slam us tonight. The confluence out ahead with the southern stream not involved leaving more room to gain latitude. Let's see what happens. I'm through 81 now and see a nice cold foundation being laid on Monday 24 hours ahead of the storm.

1957-58 was strong with a monster in February and then the famous March 58. The one thing about March 58 is I was staring at 10-12 inches which was slushy on the roads making sledding on hard packed street snow/ice virtually impossible.

I think as the Euro rolls in we're seeing a decent trend tonight but keep in mind we're still talking d5-6. It won't take much to change it drastically. Edit: Euro rather CMCesque. IOW, ugh for sne. NNE gets a modest event. No wait-ENE saved at the last minute. Still some work to do on this one.....

I think you’re all expected too much consensus at a lead time of 5-6 days. The storm in question is halfway across the Pacific Ocean still.

I just realized Sop means south of the pike. I’m trying to merge that with sop more widely know. As standard operating procedure.
