Getting back to the israel isn’t like us argument....we have many similarities.
1. A sizable swath of anti mask anti vax people
2. Broad skepticism of the government
3. Youthful disdain for any mitigation
4. A lot of racial diversity and economic imbalance
I was chatting with my neighbor who is a scientist working on many subjects. She thinks once we have 50-55% vaccinated it’s over citing Israeli statistics ongoing. That means that we’re likely done this summer if she is correct.
I remember opening day 1972-Sox/Yankees. Temps in the mid 30s with thickening clouds and 3 inches of snow that night. But the game got in while it was dry. I couldn’t move my limbs for awhile after sitting there and I was in my 20s. Boston won 2-1 but it was bullshit. I was sitting in the grandstand behind the plate and Horace Clarke was definitely safe trying to score the tying run.
I’ve been in Seattle with the temperature over 100. Same for Portland. But dews are low. Eureka has consistent chilly windy conditions. I like heat and dews but like everything else there’s a limit. Oregon and WA have beautiful sunny warm dry summers with long days being north of 45N
Link for those statements? Pretty high life quality here. Congested near the city-of course! But life expectancy in the top tier within the US and that’s a telling statistic. Incidentally CT life expectancy is high. Nothing beats HI
All classic. Older with less reactions and females more than males although I’m not sure what the J&J vs Moderna is with those demographics. Glad your “vaxed” Jeff!
