  1. Back in my heyday a long run would require vasoline be put around and on the nipples to minimize chafing. Feet and toes also. But being out in constant ctg nearby definitely takes the case for insanity. Among the worst and most helpless feelings.
  2. My vision. First returns cautiously indicate success but the intracameral meds injected behind the IOL delay the gratification by a few days frequently. Awake the whole time-kind of like half a dose of colonoscopy sedation. Brilliant surgeon-was admiring his technique from the patient eye view. I did do the stupid thing and took a slow 1 mile walk about an hour ago. I wanted to make sure it was fully light to minimize unseen obstacles. I was a bit shaky when I got home. Should be ok tomorrow or the next day. By then hopefully we get a few half decent days...
  3. Thank you! All done now thankfully. Results should be known in the next few days..
  4. My hope is family vacation in WI in late August is nice. I’ve given up on this summer. OT but beautiful view from the waiting room/check in area in the surgery center of MEEI. Overlooks the Charles- reminds me what a jewel this city is.
  5. July is climo wise the driest month of the calendar year. Not in 2021!
  6. It’s coming https://youtu.be/bIdqqw3fLDg
  7. So jealous-want to be at Death Valley!
  8. Gonna finish AOA normal for July
  9. Would anyone off the cape realize this was a tropical storm had we not known?
  10. Still raining hard but lightening in intensity. Speaking to wiz-4AM big boomer 2 nights ago-pretty impressive sound effects.
  11. A lot of posts for a rainstorm. It rained hard-still raining.
  12. Incidentally for those 65+, fully vaccinated rate is high in the whole country. Fwiw it’s 100% in every New England state except CT where it’s 99.8%.
  13. Well where I live it’s 62% of everybody-only state better is VT. All 6 New England states with the exception of NH exceed Israel and NH is close with 56.7%.
  14. They also have a lower vaccinated rate than people realize.
  15. Thanks Tom! It usually is easy but I’ve seen my share go south so fingers crossed.
  16. Mask twist: While we were I Chicago for 6 weeks one of the family members had symptoms of a cold-tested and negative for covid. The cold spread to about half the family-everyone tested and negative. So the cold people started masking around other family members especially to protect the oldest. It was ironic that the only ones masking were known to be covid negative. Incidentally I’m one of the lucky ones-didn’t get the cold yet despite my wife and daughter having to endure it last week and the week before. I’m of the belief that if you vaccinate you’re pretty close to having no chance of covid but that’s beside the point of the post.
  17. Everything is custom. As far as multi focal-resoundingly no!
  18. Lol....if that suddenly becomes the bad eye it happens quickly. Otherwise probably December. Damn..it’s busy being retired!
  19. One heckuva WAR on the euro next week. Cataract surgery for me right eye Tuesday.
  20. Here we go-another period of rain and wind but thankfully this one without the mid April temperatures. Decent rain and blow upcoming and finally I’m home for it.
  21. Pretty strong cell moved over us in Erie PA around 10AM. Should be home for the first time in 44 days by 9-10PM
  22. Probably another big rain. This time a muggy type.
