  1. True but if you look at the map above I find that map extremely bold also. keep in mind these are not forecasts (as the tv mets say) just what the midels are showing.
  2. That's been mentioned on several tv stations. They do say that inside 128 is mostly rain however.
  3. Not calling out the troops until this time tomorrow. Too many moving parts.
  4. The NBC forecast did mention that Tuesday night would be the time the coast could get it's accumulations.
  5. We do also have this guy at NBC who I have never heard of, throwing the caution flags for the coast.
  6. True but Bouchard especially has been on the go big or go home train for a few days now. That part scares me ..
  7. fwiw the NBC Boston has put out a preliminary snow map and they do seem to buying the bigger totals as modeled. Large swath of 8-12 and 18-24.
  8. There is some consensus tonight but a movement of say 40-50 miles is going to make an enormous difference for I95/128 area.
  9. UK does dump on the berks but the coast is toast in this run for snow.
  10. True. It does seem to rip overnight anyway. Daytime this time of year is always a crap shoot but if it rips enough...?
  11. So how realistic are the Euro's snow maps? The surface temps (if correct) show Boston being above freezing for awhile during the snowfall.
  12. The very definition of "overdone" like dinner for sure but the dynamics are still there. Would be nice to have a some cold air to go with that.
  13. True but I didn't say it was perfect (that's the gfs). Temps will be an issue here so a cross between the two would probably work out reasonably well.
  14. Fwiw the GEFS looks a little more likely with the snow totals near the coast at least.
  15. Don't worry this solution should hold for the next 140 hours.
