  12. 44 this morning. Question about the hail on Saturday. I seen pics of hail from Harrisburg, and it looked clear. But I seen some from Juniata County and it was white. What causes the difference?
  13. I had that happen here about 27 years ago. there was still hail laying on the ground 2 hrs after the storm was over. I spent a week raking leaves up after work to clean up. And the smell of the leaves after the storm. There was a guy and his girl friend fishing at my place when ths storm started they left he said the road was bad driving with the accumulation of hail on the road and his fishing rod he put hanging out over the tailgate the tip of the rod broke off from the hail.

  17. Another warned storm heading my way. Let's see if it makes it here. Last one went another direction after they issued a warning for me.

  22. Remember those Frost and freeze warnings a few weeks ago? Well here is the result of those. This place is in Dauphin County a few miles from Gratz and about 10 miles as the crow flies from me. Shame. On the bright side and we were blessed this year we picked about 30 quarts of strawberries so far. We sold about 25qt. We had nothing that big to cover our strawberries when those warnings went out and we did have frost and temps down into the upper 20's. We were lucky here. And that 3in. rain came at the right time at the end of April follow by a lot of sun in May to lead to such an abundant harvest ,thank God! Blyler Fruit Farm dertoSnpos0uf700yamg3g hmPM1a198f858m176l1t3a68a0 0 0iM7t 0: · It is with great sadness that we announce there will be no strawberries for 2023. The frost and freeze conditions on numerous mornings in May have ruined the blossoms and small fruit.
