  1. I know it poured at Elizabethville when I was over this afternoon poor visibility and standing water on highway it poured at least 20 min
  2. The town of Gratz, in Dauphin County issued burning ban and conserve water.
  3. I guess time will tell. Anything is possible hard to believe we don't get at least 2 consecutive days of that 100 degree heat this summer before is all is said and done.
  4. my grass is starting to get brown in thsun exposed areas which is about 70% of what I mow temp 92 with that wind at times.
  5. Yes unfortunately, while I still have snow and ice here, when we get a warm spell in winter my neighbors across the creek there has already melted.
  6. My location is at an elevation of according to my elevation app 440 ft I am surrounded by a mountain on the south side. topof mountain elevation is 1150 ft and hills on the other 3 sides of me. So you'd say I live in a bowl. Now I can go down to the creek that is about 100ft from my house down there and it is about 5 degrees cooler there. There are trees at the creek but the area here at the house there are no trees. Don't worry when the sun gets lower in the sky and the days shorten in September I will lose the heating effect that I enjoy now. In winter I only see the sun about 6 hours. It rises after 9 and is gone by 3.
  7. High today 95 a d no rain storm missed me bless than 2 miles.
  8. Thunder in the distance and sky getting dark.
  9. We can only hope for rain .12 rain since the last week of June isn't cutting it. The field corn leaves are pointed up and the lawns on the other side of the creek from where I live are turning brown. I'm a little more fortunate where I live as I live in the lowlands. But I am starting to see changes here too. I watered Sunday 4 hrs pumping water from the creek to my garden Had everything in the garden watered good. But that sun yesterday with that wind dried it out again.
  10. WHTM-27 is not very optimistic for areas north of I-81 of getting really anything.
  11. High today 92 that wind and sun is really drying things up.
  12. Another dry week according to WHTM-27weather.
  13. 91 for the high today, started noticing that the grass right beside my gravel lane is turning brown
  14. um, TMI, depends how your making that money.
  15. Is that extreme heat still on the models in the long range.
  16. Remember Voyager makes several trips there a week. So there must be something good happening there he keeps going back to.
  17. And no the thermometers are not off. Yes lots of sun. I was roto tilling yesterday morning in our big garden for 2 hrs and I was drenched in sweat. And we went up to Sunbury around 4:30 yesterday (gates opened at 5) at Spyglass winery to see Jeff Dunham (great show by the way!) the sweat was just rolling off of my wife and I, and running down my a** crack too. I thought that it would be cooler up there being it was a little further north of us by 23 miles. But that was not the case. Also I noticed that the field corn the leaves are pointed up. That is a sign that the crop needs rain.
  18. So they have been waffling back and forth for a while, maybe it will come to be a reality. I just hope we all get some rain on Tuesday
  19. Do the models have excessive heat in the longer range?
  20. Zero in the rain dept. last night and this morning. I see the SPC has a slight risk for some of us on day 4.
