I read just a few weeks ago the Pa. Game Commission is worked in 10 years that there won't be enough hunters to keep the deer population in check, due to the older ones dying off and the lack of younger ones taking an interest in the sport.

It seems this year there are a lot of critters around. Not to mention squirrels, chipmunks, mice. And hardly anyone the last few years hunts small game anymore. I also noticed that the deer have become so brave lately coming close to the house and in the garden.

Grass is still growing here. and the mowing continues. But i'm starting to see signs that it is starting to get dry. Nothing critical or to be worried about yet but it's starting.

Yes it is dry despite having 4.08 rain for the month. But 2 in of that came from heavy thunderstorms in a short period of time
