Few flurries here on the southern edge of the band.. SWS issued for said band.. ...A BAND OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT PARTS OF JEFFERSON...OSWEGO...AND LEWIS COUNTIES... HAZARDS...A band of heavy lake effect snow. LOCATION AND MOVEMENT...A band of heavy lake effect snow will continue this morning east of Lake Ontario, across southern Jefferson and far northern Oswego counties, extending inland across the Tug Hill in western Lewis County. This band of snow will continue to drift slowly south through mid morning. Snowfall rates of 2 to 3 inches per hour are likely in this band. LOCATIONS IMPACTED INCLUDE... Carthage, Lowville, Pulaski, Adams, Adams Center, Barnes Corners, Highmarket, Richland, Denmark, New Bremen, Watson, Martinsburg, Henderson, and Rodman.

Yeah it's farther south than I expected at this time..

Through 3weeks the pulaski COOP is at -4.4° for the month, mainly due to the overnight lows . I should also mention below average in the snowfall department lol

I like the look of this for a slow moving"transition" band.. NW flow pushing the band south, WSW south of the lake causing some resistance.. Takes around 5-6 hours for a complete NW wind.. Obviously this is if the rgem is correct..

Nice little improvement on the rgem, brings a little heavier precipitation inland similar to the high Rez.. Last run had around 0.15"-0.20".. Hopefully it continues to trend better lol (through hr48)

Some of that also has to do with wind speed.. Modest wind speeds aloft will limit the inland extent of the lake band so Lewis county may miss out several inches of snow this time.

Pretty easy to see they are riding the RGEM as usual..Not exact but pretty darn close lol

Watch up for Jefferson county.. ...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING INTO SUNDAY AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations in excess of 9 inches possible. * WHERE...Jefferson county. * WHEN...From Saturday evening into Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Travel could become very difficult.
