The City and LI may pick up more rain then NE NJ. I am getting scraped by the heavier rain just to my east.

The 18z GFS was pretty wet late week into next weekend. So for the areas that picked up heavy rain today that could cause a renewed flood threat in those areas and another opportunity for areas that miss out this current round.

I am personally not a huge fan of the HRRR as it is known to have wild swings from run to run.

I also saw a report of a couple of missing hikers who were caught in the floods.

While I certainly understand and agree with the "turn around don't drown" campaign especially for someone like myself who is in the field of public safety but if people don't have the common sense to do so nothing they say on social media will help any. It starts with common sense.
