    That can happen with trying to get the cold air from the northeast. You want to root for a quicker phase to get more cold air on the western side.

    Its letting that northern s/w drop into the southern wave. If that trend continues it should amp up more and climb the coast with more cold air pouring into the western part of the board.

    In all honesty with this being a ss wave we shouldn't read too much into the gfs. This should be the year the euro gets back on top.

    It looks like a strung-out mess and there is a vort diving into the lakes that is blocking our cold air feed.

    12 gfs not as amped and looks a little colder at 850 compared to 6z

    850 temps are below freezing into the n ga mtns and into the upstate
