  1. Probably not, but the changes are taking place well before that in the Pacific. It's under 10 days now and has been shown on the ensembles for several days. I think chances are better than normal we get into a wintry period.
  2. Gfs cranking up the epo ridge next week. Should get a flood of Arctic air in the pattern. Good times ahead!
  3. Well.... I would roll with the ensembles over op models in the extended.
  4. Eps has the best look we have seen all year! Definitely moving towards a wintry patter.
  5. Western trough Is gone by day 9 on the ensembles. Looking forward to tracking some storms!
  6. Cad and wedge are the most overused terms on this board.
  7. 18z gets was a subtle shift towards the eps and cmc ensembles. Hopefully we can move out of this wretched pattern!!
  8. It's been showing this for a few days. Canadian ensembles are in agreement. Hopefully they have the correct idea to lead us away from the central Pacific death ridge.
  9. I would just be happy with dry. Can we get one week of dry weather???
  10. Unfortunately it's been like this for two years
  11. 90% of the board canceled winter or "punted" January. They would look silly talking up a snow event.
  12. In all my years I have never heard of a coastal cutter
  13. Its mostly likely snow with those rates. If this was just a normal event I would say you guys are sol.
  14. Correct. I just rushed and assumed it was heights.
  15. Grit, do you have this animation with 850 temps? Thanks,
  16. This is gonna be one of those nam runs of the past!!
  17. The best snow is when you're riding the line
  18. Not sure. He is living in Tennessee where he is from.
  19. Its gonna be interesting to see if the snow line falls at the balsams or is able to push back to the AT on the clay/macon line. If we can get the NE winds shown on the nam and the rates it might workout here. It could just as easily be a few inches of slop!
