Keep in mind this run doesn't include anything before 1 pm and it's only 10:1 ratios.
Also DC gets snipped by the coastal tomorrow morning. Would take very little to get in the goods

Streets have caved. 1.4”. Light snow. I love that theres no wind either - keeps everything caked and covered.
It's also dry. Nobody is slipping and sliding when they walk

28/27, light snow, 1.5”, 115' asl

Congrats to everyone getting decent snow today! At this point my bar is set at breaking the 1" mark here which feels like it's been an eternity since we've seen.

For I-95 there is definitely a danger that we lull overnight as everything pushes north and west. How this unfolds is still unclear.
of course if I have 3” at midnight I’m not gonna whine too much.

The goods are approaching Dahlgren to Lex park. It might take a little while to advance north/northwest

About the same here in AdMo. Starting to overcome the salt on the more heavily treated roads and walkways as well.
Yeah I’m down at the bottom of the hill near 18th and U. And we have decent accumulation

Snowglobe status. Enjoying it before the snow gets the memo that this is Southern MD.
Many say La plata is the Westminster of Charles county. Good luck.

Interesting how sidewalks have caved in Ashburn but out 3 east of Dulles they’ve continued to melt.
We’re oscillating between steady light snow with some lessening of visibility and pixie dust. There are some pretty good bands moving into DC shortly.

Is it not going to snow tomorrow morning anymore?
.It will?! Imo. But much better in the usual spots N and NW. we may cut off quite a bit before MT PSU

The 3km NAM from 12z gives us 3+ inches of snow. Through 4pm it had 0.01” qpf. This is all just bonus scenery snow.
I bet you end up with 12:1+ ratio when you melt later.

Besides the bonus snow, maybe even though this isn't sticking it has helped to wash some of the road treatments off and also prevented the usual DCA spike to 42 before a storm.
I haven’t seen a storm create its own cold air since the 60s.

Don't I know it but starting to see some returns between CHO and here in the past hour which is a good sign. Right in line with NAM's timing thus far.
H2O will get before evening. Radar is filling in between Woodbridge and DC

Eagles fans threw snowballs at Santa Claus. Be careful. I don’t like their chances.

If you try to compare DC metro snow with people out in Frederick you're gonna have a bad time. We'll get our couple of inches once the sun goes down and it'll be fine.
We’re getting snow dude. I have like 0.8”. Andy will get his. But might take a little longer

This reminds me a bit of 2/24/05. Got 4.5". Steady light snow for a long duration with some lulls. Roads didn't cave until after dark though.
