  1. Me too haha. After the first two storms, I 100% expected this.
  2. OOF on the NAM. Completely misses us in MD from wave 2.
  3. Honestly, this talk about how the models will always pull back from the big snow run that we seem to always get 72 hours out this year kind of agrees with something Ji said a storm or two ago: "Which model run will be right? The one that gives us the least snow." LOL. For all of Ji's problems, that was a word of wisdom there that has turned out to be quite correct lately.
  4. NAM wins again (possibly, let’s see) and the third time this winter Lucy has pulled her football. At least this time I was prepared. Another 3-4 inches over 48 hours, I’m not gonna complain, at least it’s been nice to always have something on the ground.
  5. Wow LWX is bullish. After how the NAM has performed the last couple storms, I'm actually keeping close watch on the NAM this storm. It's not great for my backyard, at least the 12km, very focused on Virginia... which makes me think it's probably going to verify, lol.
  6. One thing I love about this next system is that for a lot of places, there's still snowpack (well, in my case, it's now basically hardened ice-pack lol) from the last marathon storm. I might go 2+ weeks with snow on the ground.
  7. Like you said, these don't show the ice potential. Interestingly, a lot of the "misses" are instead, crazy ice events.
  8. 1” in Germantown. Anything falling instantly melts into slurry. With slightly colder temperatures I’m sure I could have pulled 3” out of this. Onto the next one!
  9. Changes over to rain in Germantown. Maybe got an inch.
  10. Sidewalks are finally caving in Germantown. Roads are close.
  11. Wow these flakes are like the size of my hand
  12. Oh yeah totally, and I’m not stressing over it, god knows my microclimate usually caves me far earlier than even others in Gtown. I’m happy the flakes are sticking there!
  13. Wow. Your roads caved in Gburg? In Germantown I feel like we are struggling to overcome meltage
  14. It sounds like it’s raining outside the snow is coming down so hard. The flakes are absolutely massive.
  15. Going hiking on a warm pre-winter storm day, lol!
  16. It was a small step back from me but I'm not pinning a ton of hopes on this system. A nice 3-4" is really all I need
  17. There was a snowfall map in the other thread, I can't be bothered to go searching for it, but yeah - there were other similar reports in upper MoCo and nearby.
  18. Its insane hahaha .I had a band that just sat on top of me four hours and dropped 5". I gave up after day 1 and 2.
  19. I think for this one, it’s not complicated. I have been told many times we don’t do complicated well. This one seems simple and straightforward. It’ll be close for me as I got that last minute day 3 band that gave me 5” to come out to 7” in Germantown. This is forecast to give me 6”. We’ll see!
  20. So I have no context when it comes to ice storms. If something like that map verified verbatim, what would the impacts be?
