  1. Looking at the plow lines and little hills of snow that line the road and there is no way cars are going to be able to get out when we transition to sleet and a bit of ZR. This is gonna be a hilarious glacier event.
  2. Snow is HOLDING ON in Gaithersburg. I see that SN/Sleet line in Bethesda. You better STAY over there hahaha.
  3. Like I said before, the sleet storm we got in 2017ish blew me away and turned me onto sleet. When I watched a car literally turn into a see-saw trying to back up over a plowed sleet pile, and watched how cool sleet accumulation looks, I was 100% sold. It also helps I live in a neighborhood that shovels for me with a local contractor. So I don't have to shovel it myself lol.
  4. Gaithersburg 5.5" of snow, SN+ right now. No sleet. Some mix between rimed snow and regular snow. We'll definitely get above 6, may even reach for 7-8 depending on how long that sleet can be held at bay.
  5. This will be me when we transition to sleet. I want 5" of glaciation. I want more sleet accums than snow accums. lol.
  6. Back to heavy snow in Gaithersburg, no sleet, CC lines moved back south quite a bit from us!
  7. It’s weird. I wouldn’t call what we have sleet here in Gaithersburg right now. It’s regular big flakes and then some rimed snow that’s very much accumulating. we are under CCs too.
  8. 5” in Gaithersburg and heavy rimed flakes falling now.
  9. Just a little hopium for my NW of DC friends. NAM's recent run for 12zSun has the snow/sleet line significantly kept at bay compared to the "bad" runs 24 hours ago for 12zSun.
  10. Cool! And we want that wedge to hold as long as possible right?
  11. What on earth is going on with those CCs? I’m sure people who are much more knowledgeable can explain. Looks like the sleet line has a big hole in it. Anyway. SN+ right now in Gaithersburg. They’re plowing snow into piles right now that will be glaciers later today.
  12. The good news is the sleet line has a very solid thump or two of snow ahead of it.
  13. If I’m reading the CC correctly, sleet line just out of Charlottesville. Just popped up.
  14. This is the finest sandiest snow I’ve ever seen accumulate. Also the roads are already caved in Gaithersburg.
  15. I’ve been in many snow holes but this one is pretty funny.
  16. I might just take a nap so this snow hole goes away.
  17. One of the best, darkest roux gumbos I've ever made. Now just waiting for the snow.
  18. Louisiana born and raised, it was always my cold weather food, and then when I hit real cold weather no longer living in Louisiana, it's been perfect.
  19. Got a good pot of gumbo going and locked in for a big winter event
  20. So I know the Euro has been struggling/struggles with sleet/zr. I notice on the latest run, its showing 0.8" zr. Which is obviously not the case. I guess my question is, what is that likely going to be, sleet? and how much would 0.8" zr translate to sleet?
  21. Let me know if you ever do, my wife and I would gladly come!
  22. Honestly? I took a bit of a step back from tracking weather. Too many rug pulls, let myself just enjoy it when the storms hit haha. Plus honestly, the weather has not been that exciting. Plus, work and personal life stuff and a bit of a health scare. But hey. Look at me now. I'm back here vibing. Hope the family is doing well!
