Light snow in Roslyn has started. First flakes!

I like the angle of the precipitation on radar coming out of the North. My bar is set at just seeing a few flakes fall, I would be satisfied to see a snow shower. Based on radar it looks like the first flakes have made it as far south as Harrisburg, PA now.

Just heard thunder also plenty of lightning.

Radar looks good for a nice heavy shower. LWX forecast now has rain with snow possibly mixed in likely for Friday.

He hit the nail on the head winter 22-23 he predicted pretty much a shutout and that’s exactly what happened.

I have the farmers almanac and it has a few opportunities for snow in February I’m pretty sure it has one opportunity around Presidents’ Day.

Rain had stopped back at home in McLean but now in loudoun county in landsdowne and it has been raining for the past hour.

6z GFS was a nice direct hit to the region whereas the 12z GFS is taking it farther south.

Gfs has some impacts for our area but not a direct hit.

Light rain has commenced with constant rumbles of thunder. Smells beautiful out there like a severe thunderstorm.

With Enso state expected to lean towards a La Niña probably gonna be yet another boring winter for tracking snow unless we hit the lottery like the blizzard of ‘96.

A couple tornado warnings near Williamsburg and more down in North Carolina. They could rotate this way towards nighttime like LWX was talking about.

Excited for this storm, first interesting weather event in a long time. Almost as good as a nice snowstorm at this point. Hopefully we get in the bullseye and get 7+ inches.
