  1. Wagons west. I'll be happy to squeeze a fresh inch of powder out of this after the abysmal look to the medium range just a few short days ago.
  2. This one is still alive because I said earlier today that it would be a one run wonder. Jinx worked, you can submit royalties to my venmo account at your convenience.
  3. The snow has a shine to it now from last night's glazing. No more blowing snow from here on out. Euro tries to get a clipper system in here next weekend, but has the look of a one run wonder. My hunch is it will be a Michigan special on the next run.
  4. Glazed like a donut out there this eve to be sure.
  5. On the SPC past events page the original day 3 is gone, as only the updated midday day3 update shows up. Was hoping to go back and have a laugh at that original day3 but it's been edited out of existence, at least on the SPC past events page.
  6. ^Sign me up for that Euro run as well. -10 here atm, which is low so far.
  7. Pretty significant blowing snow out in the open areas today. Made it look (and feel) pretty legit. I'm gonna have to spend a whole day in the spring going around and picking up sticks/small branches from all the wind we've had the past month or so lol.
  8. So far this winter has gone much like how a good chunk of 2021 went. Very long periods of benign/dry weather, and then maybe a week or two stretch of excitement that quickly brings the long-term stats a little closer to the overall average. So, if the theme continues we shall see another 3-5 weeks of blah followed by an exciting stretch somewhere in mid February, and that perhaps drops 10-20" of snow in that time frame. Following that another 3-6 week stretch of mind-numbing boringness until the next stretch of excitement arrives in late March/early April.
  9. It may cause the belt to wear out a bit quicker but it's definitely worth it even if you have to change a belt once in awhile.
  10. Good call by DVN with the temps last night/this morning. Figured we'd easily dip below -10, as we were already -1 at a bit past 5pm. Temps languished much of the night. Hit -8 around midnight and bounced up from there.
  11. -8 here already. The mid 70s a few weeks ago seems like a million years ago now.
  12. New point forecast remains at -6 with the new update, which looks like it will bust pretty badly. Already have plummeted from 7 to -1 in the past hour, with 12+ hours left to descend.
  13. DVN needs to fix the CID and GBG temp sensors. They've been a bit erroneous compared to surrounding locations for some time now. They both look to be running 5-10 degrees too cold.
  14. Should bottom out pretty good tonight with the ridge axis right overhead, zero clouds, and 5" of fresh snow OTG. Point has -6, but I think we have a good chance to dip well into the - double digits.
  15. MLI finished with 4.7", and DVN with 6.2".
  16. Picked up another half inch over the past few hours from the decaying Iowa band, so up to 5.0" for the event. Still snowing lightly.
  17. Think what hurt our total is the lack of snow from late afternoon on. It's basically just been spitting snow the last 5hrs, with the band over IA refusing to budge in this direction. Had the snow not shut down like it did we prob would have picked up another inch or so.
  18. 4.5" here. A little under what I expected but still a nice daytime event.
  19. Sure was nice to have a daytime event like this, we had a hard time getting these last season it seemed. On an off day to boot lol. The snow has been very light the past hour or two, but now the CR death band remnants are moving in so hopefully we can muster another inch of fresh powder this evening.
