  1. Yeah there's definitely a steep gradient from northeast IL to the QC. We're only about 25 miles northeast of MLI and have 16 90+ days. Nice soaker today between the two main rounds. Ended up with 1.77", up to 3.21" for July.
  2. Hopefully your area does well with the WAA wing downpours and nice comma head action. Sometimes heavy comma head rains are a bit under-modelled.
  3. Nice thunderheads to the southeast
  4. Yeah sure looks like we are go for a massive MCS moving through Iowa tomorrow morning.
  5. Picked up 0.01" from a cell that crapped the bed on the back doorstep.
  6. Pretty steamy out there this afternoon, as the dews have shot up into the 70s. Nice towers building all around.
  7. Today was the 21st 90+ day at MLI for the year.
  8. Well if it makes you feel any better my 2016 chase season peaked even earlier on March 15th with the Good Hope IL nader lol.
  9. 0.22" of rain this evening. Up to 1.43" for July now. Luckily the drought was a 6 week affair.
  10. Yeah it's sprang back to life pretty nicely. Crab grass making an appearance now as well lol.
  11. Picked up another 0.71" this evening from some bonus downpours. That brings us to 0.93" for the day and 1.20" for July.
  12. Nice, looks like a real nice soaker. Got a curtain call in progress here as some new cells are popping up just off to the west.
  13. Got drenched walking through the parking lot at work. Probably got a good inch there as it dumped for quite a bit. Picked up 0.22" here from anvil rain. Up to 1.81" since a week ago.
  14. On the western edge of tomorrow's setup here. Hoping we can cash in on a decent rainer as we still desperately need the moisture.
  15. 94 at MLI today, 90 here. After mid 90s tomorrow and Wed gonna get a nice long break from the heat from Thu onward. Not gonna be quite as frosty as it has been at ALEK's though lol
  16. Picked up 0.20" early this morning, bringing us up to 1.47" since Thursday.
  17. I've seen the Mothman Prophecies too many times to get on a bridge looking like that lol
  18. Corn crop has really shot up here over the past week or so after the 2 rain events. Bring on the 80 degree dews lol.
  19. After the Aug 10 2020 Derecho we were without power from Monday afternoon until Friday morning. Definitely gives you an appreciation for electricity, which most of us take for granted. Feel for you guys down south, hope things get up and running sooner than anticipated.
  20. Great soaker today with the northern edge of the deep convection passing through. Picked up 1.17", which bumped us up to a bit over 2" for June.
  21. Big props to that model. It's been advertising this for days. Blowing the HRRR/NEST out of the water the past few years to be sure.
  22. Not sure if Broyles issued a crappy day 3 outlook early this morning, as a new updated day 3 has been issued earlier this afternoon to replace his original day 3.
  23. Some decaying Iowa sloppy seconds moving in early this morning with some incoming anvil sprinkles. Concerned tomorrow's activity may fire up just east of here.
  24. The good news is if u wanted to quit smoking this will still get u a little fix.
