  1. I notice we have a few severe cells today
  2. Officially hit a dew of 79° here in Dublin Ohio. Insane to see north of the Ohio River
  3. Looks like Friday-Sunday we will be making a run at 100° here in Columbus. Definitely gonna be a pool/Zoombezi Bay day here. I think the dews may hold it back a bit but definitely a chance
  4. Is excessive heat in the hundreds? Have never seen that graphic before
  5. Almost wonder if we will see a positive feedback loop here shortly with these warm temps baking unplanted soil. Feels like a desert here in Toledo with temps sticking around high, it's currently 85° outside! I picked a good week to come back from Columbus, that's for sure
  6. Really liking the forecast this next week. Full weekend of sunshine here in Central Ohio
  7. Big fan of this weather. Mid 70s with full clouds and tropical downpours is the best
  8. Lol come on another tornado night? What a year in Ohio
  9. In NW Ohio NO corn has been planted yet. That is absolutely insane, and after yesterday’s 3-5” I bet it’ll be quite awhile longer. I feel they’re in a different world two hours from Columbus who has had a pretty regular May to June so far
  10. Toledo got some serious wind and hail. Looks like it’s going to bow out into a derecho through the state
  11. Yeah was gonna say dewpoint matters way more than pure air temperature. Instability by definition is how fast an water molecule cools with height
  12. The fact that a nighttime long track EF3 could rip through a medium sized city with no fatalities is unreal. Amazingly good news considering it looked like it could be Joplin all over again. The damage is quite extensive in Dayton, curfews out for many neighborhoods and towns that took it right on the chin
  13. Yeah when that jet ramped up it basically caused the storms to have no outflow. Those southern most cells were absolutely ingesting clean warm air with helicities at 4-500. As I said earlier as a former Toledoan reminded me so much of June 5-6 2010. Discrete cells with a strengthening low on a warm, muggy night. That big one from Dayton stayed tornadic until 3 AM
  14. Agreed I'm just going off of the fact I know that area fairly well. Very densely populated
  15. Yeah this thing may very well dwarf Joplin. We're talking about 800,000 person metro area that it sliced completely through at 11 PM with a 60 DBZ debris ball
  16. Very interested to see if the big dog cell hooks into Columbus
  17. I fear for what the death toll might be here
  18. Cell approaching Troy is about to wrap up hard
  19. I hate to be that guy but this is a very very heavily populated area getting hit. My god
  20. This feels like June 6 2010 all over again. Storms tightening up as midnight approaches as the low deepens
  21. Really nothing too impressive yet. Cell by South Bend may be outrunning its instability quick
  22. Kind of like Kankakee to Logansport to Columbus as the area today. I don’t buy it surging as far north as they think but we will see
