Got to love that early-November-balmy-upper-70s-World-Series weather in Cleveland today!
Fantastic baseball weather . Tonight will be almost as good as yesterday . Go Tribe!
Found this interesting ;

There's a decent Huron lake effect rain band in Ashtabula county.
-
Wow that's a pretty remarkable stretch! Hopefully we can flip the switch to cold and snowy in 3-4 weeks. I'd be all for a lighter Nov snow if we can have a good Dec. The last few years have barely managed any snow in Dec. In fact, I believe April was snowier than Dec last year.
Leaves are really coming down now with the rain and cooler temps.

What a day for mid October! 75 still right now, saw 78 around mid day. The past few days have been extremely nice. Looks like after friday, 50s in the extended.
-
Definitely starting to see some color on the trees now, as well as some leaves falling . Seems a few weeks behind. Hopefully this isn't the year we get a big early lake effect event with all of the trees holding leaves for a few weeks longer than normal. Looks like 40s for lows appearing in the forecast now.

Such an incredible stretch of warm weather. 80s all week and it'd mid-late September. The mornings have began cooling off a little though.
Hard to believe first flakes are usually a month away.
Torch that lake !

Just today I was thinking how warm it was and that it was normal for how hot this summer has been. Then I remembered we are already in September and avg highs are in the 70s. Been a while since we have seen 70s. I am definitely looking forward to this winter.

Had some pretty good storms the past few evenings. It's nice to see heavy rain wording in the forecast for the next few days. Sure has been a hot and dry summer.

Lot's of branches down this morning after last nights storm. Slept right through it unfortunately. Anyone have radar images? Woke up and my yard was covered in branches and leaves. Lots of large branches down in spots.
Yep, lots of leaves and branches down. Saw a few good sized trees down near Solon too. The wind was very impressive! I believe the warning mentioned 60 mpH winds.
You can view historical radar data here, but I can't get yesterday's to work properly. www.wunderground.com/weather-radar/united-states/oh/cleveland/cle/history/?date=2016-07-13

Was just about to post how quiet it's been this summer. No real storms or soaking rains. It's been very dry. Temps have been probably slightly above normal. Seems quite a bit hotter than last year.

How miserable. ...light snow with a light accumulation in the grass....Looks like a healthy band over Cuyahoga, wonder how much of that is snow?
Edit; actually I've got 2" on the deck. Probably 1" in the grass.
-
Quite the turn in seasons this past week. 6"+ of snow on the ground last weekend to 70s, sun and cutting grass this weekend. Spring has arrived!
-
Between the snow melt and this rain, the ground is going to be soggy for a while.
It'll be nice to get into the 60's this weekend though!
-
Eyeballing 5-6" on the deck. What a scene out there. The trees are caked with snow.
Looks like mid winter...cold , blowing snow...
Came up with 7" in several spots on the deck.
-
Good map OHweather, seems reasonable. Enjoy the weekend out there !
Radar looks good out west near sandusky. Several moderate pockets showing up.
-
CLE least snowiest winter on record cancel.
It's a shame the best snow will probably be while most are sleeping, but if you want a big snow this time of year, night is the time for that to happen. It's pretty much a lock that this will be the biggest storm of the season for the TOL-CLE corridor.
Yep, should be fun! Glad that the airport looks to be in line for the good snows too.
Is the warning criteria 8"? Might push that at some places. Don't think we have had any wsw this winter.
-
Same here. A little less on the grass and not much on the pavement. Nice winter wonderland scene. We'll see what tonight brings.
That's the nice part about late season snows....the driveway usually stays clear lol. Though...in heavy snow rates at night I'm sure it'll accumulate.
-
Wonder if you Geauga folk will wake up to 2" this morning. Been decent snow much of the night in spots.
Right at 3" on my deck. Nice surprise!
-
I'm game for one last event. Only need 1.5" more to make this month snowier than November, December and March. Also should top 70" for the year. Crazy year..
-
It will be interesting to see how much, if any, snow accumulates this week during the cold snap.
Saturday night's thundersnow was probably the best thundersnow I've experienced. Lots of lightning in rapid succession.
It helped that the snowfall occurred after sunset for accumulations. This time of year you need intense rates and nightfall to really get snow to stick. But minutes after it stopped, the snow started melting here from the ground up. The pavement was covered in snow during the squall, but 15 minutes later it had completely melted from paved surfaces, even with air temperatures falling into the 20s.
Ya driveway was covered here until the morning, and quickly cleared.
GFS still shows several inches of snow in the next week.... Have to think some lake effect might happen with the cold shots too.
-
Measured 3" of heavy wet snow. It's been almost a month exactly since the last snowfall. Hard to believe March was so lame.
-
Getting several rumbles of thunder...moderate snow, big flakes.
-
Noticed the discussion from cle mentions they issued a "snow advisory " for nwpa. Didn't those go away years ago? Somebody must miss them lol.
2-4" in my fc tonight.
-
I'm with Trent, give me a significant event,or else I'll pass. The 60's and 70s at the beginning of the month have me hoping for spring. Tomorrow should be nice!

Sounds good to me! It would be right on schedule with the past few years first les. Grass cutting appears to be over and the majority of leaves have dropped.
