  1. First accumulating snow of the season. I've got 1" on my deck.
  2. It does seem they have dropped fairly rapidly the past few weeks. I've only got a few left that still need to drop. Maybe first flakes late next week?
  3. Now that October is here, I'm starting to get the itch for winter. Some leaves are starting to fall and temps finally look to cool off later in the week. September was way too hot. Hopefully it's an active lake effect year. Just took a look back at last year's paltry total of 57.5". What a miserable winter it was.
  4. Ya it's been a nice switch to summer like temps. I was quite surprised to find the back area of my yard still quite wet.
  5. Anyone else feel the earthquake today? Very distinct, but brief shake in Chardon. https://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/eventpage/us70003xny/executive
  6. Finally a stretch of nice dry days. Was out in the yard yesterday and surprised how not overly soaked the yard was. The past few springs seem to have been very wet.
  7. Nam trying to give us several inches Saturday night. If it's going to be cold on Sunday, might as well snow.
  8. Getting a pretty good burst of snow. From webcams looks very elevation dependant mainly 271 east, then rain elsewhere. Grass is about covered in Chardon.
  9. Yep, 52.5 is my unofficial tally. Downright ugly.
  10. Forgot how nice 40s and sun feels! Tomorrow and Thurs should be really nice until some rain. I'm ready for an early spring.
  11. Yikes I don't think I realized how little snowfall the airport has had the past several years. Definitely points to how little synoptic snowfalls the area has had lately.
  12. Looks like a lake effect band or enhancement has developed. Surprised to see a wwa for 3-5". Just light snow here, but the band looks to be slowly sinking south.
  13. Actually last winter was decent..or average. A "39 March definitely saved that winter. I had 109" which lines up with the data from CLE https://www.weather.gov/cle/Climate_Snowfall_2017-18
  14. Lol I wish! There's no saving this winter, but one last big dog would be nice. Had a half inch or so the past few mornings that melt quickly. A few inches on the ground in Chardon.
  15. Bummer. Be lucky to cross 50" at this point. Though there always seems to be a decent March storm or two.
  16. Agreed, definitely ready for warmer outdoor weather. How much do you think fell? I'm out of town.
  17. We may set a record for fastest rain after accumulating snow tomorrow morning lol. Not really sure what to expect. Nam is trending north with the snow. Could be a few inches or nothing.
  18. Sorry to see you go, definitely enjoyed your posts Stop back by every now and then!
  19. Ya I was surprised as well as no models were really showing anything like that. The arws show just a few inches. O well, rain again tomorrow anyways.
  20. Ya and we get to do it again on Thursday! It sure was slick this morning, didn't expect that. Wonder how the lake effect will be tonight? Up to 5" in the point forecast.
  21. Picked up 1.25" yesterday evening. What a crazy week..rain tomorrow, then snow Weds, then back to rain.
  22. Not at home this weekend, but looks like a few inches fell overnight. What a terrible pattern for the next week. Hopefully something changes soon.
  23. The warm-up sun - Tues will sure feel nice. Hopefully we can reset things and get more snowy in a week or so.
  24. Spot on, definitely a lack luster winter so far. Who knows..maybe some milder temps next week can break up the ice some. The lack of any substantial lake effect for us has hurt. Current season snowfall at 44".... We're not far off from last year at this time , but a big March saved us last year.
