  1. 33 and snow this morning. Wondering if it will stay snow or if we will flip to rain this morning? It's actually starting to stick to pavement again. Interesting quote from CLE regarding tomorrow - Sun night "The Sunday forecast is a bit sneaky with the snow potential across Northeast Ohio, especially near/east of Cleveland. After aa lull in snow tonight, a system developing southeast of ther egion will allow for some synoptic moisture to try and creep back into the forecast area and bring some light snow to the eastern half of the forecast area. Then, a favorable lake effect snow setup will start to emerge Sunday afternoon with NNW flow across Lakes Huron and Erie. This should allow for lake effect snow to push into Northeast Ohio with a couple inches of snowj ust east of the Cleveland metro given the favorable fetch. This wvent will be limited by the lack of deep moisture across the region. However, the sfc-5000 ft layer over the lake will be very unstable with good low level lift, so this has the potential to uptick as a sneaky shallow lake effect event before this events starts to pivot east, as mentioned in the short term" period below."
  2. Definitely a great start to January. I have recorded 21" the first 8 days. Pretty good stretch that looks to continue, especially after the season total of each of the last 2 winters being around 50"
  3. Hopefully we can make it to early next week, sounds like another good LE setup with the next cold push.
  4. Was just reading through the CLE discussion and looks like several LES chances this coming week. https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=CLE&issuedby=CLE&product=AFD&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1&highlight=off
  5. Some short rangers still show 3-6", have to see if we can get a band to organize.
  6. 3" new here overnight, 9.75" running total.
  7. 6.75" here so far, a really good start and on forecast. We had some very intense rates later in the morning, and then steady-heavy snow most of the afternoon. Radar looks thin now, hopefully it fires back up later.
  8. Ya seemed like the bands wanted to hug the lake shore. Hoping for a better next few days. What are your thoughts on the Mon storm? Any chance we can get it this far north, as it seems some models were starting to edge it north last night. Should still trigger some lake effect as it passes I would think.... pending the lake ice coverage..
  9. Same, I have 2" measured off my deck. Picturesque with the plastering on the trees. Right on forecast so far, hoping the rest of the day into tomorrow keeps delivering. Fri - Sat looks fun as well.
  10. Definitely looks like a legit cold and snowy few weeks. Some pretty crazy clown maps for NEOH over the next 10 days or so.
  11. Pretty consistent significant cold outbreak shown in about 2 weeks. The lake will surely have rapidly expanding ice at that point. Hopefully we can get a few more le snows before then. Sure looks snowy...
  12. Should be a snowy start to the weekend. WWA for 3-6". Huron band seems to be modeled just east of here, but hoping it can slow down over our areas and over achieve.
  13. Hard to measure with the winds, but I'm coming up with 9" in several spots. Looks like several 5-6" measurements reported nearby early this morning, so this seems reasonable. Radar still looks great for several more inches.
  14. Everything looks good for tonight -Fri. Tomorrow should be really nasty out with the winds.
  15. Ya was thinking this is primarily for the northern parts. Looks like 2-4" around here possibly. Main show for us early next week.
  16. Let's hope things look a little better once we get closer.
  17. Another pretty good run, thru next Tues. Looks like several potential chances over the next week.
  18. Last several days of GFS and euro runs have been really good for neoh lake effect next week. Canadian looks to keep the heaviest to the north, but other models seem to spread the wealth a little more. Been a few years since we have had a prolonged multi day early season event.
  19. I measured 1.5" yesterday evening. Not sure if the main lake band ever came this way overnight and added to that or not... All rain now. Definitely nice to see the snow again. Next weekend looks interesting!
  20. It was nice seeing the snow this morning, probably had 1/2" or so in the grass. WWA for 3-5" tonight. The short rangers look great for eastern Cuyahoga and western Geauga.
  21. Sure would! Definitely an odd setup. Hopefully we can get temps to cooperate. Either way, there's definitely a signal for some wintry weather possibilities end of next week and Thanksgiving week.
  22. What an incredible stretch of late October weather. Couldn't ask for better weather for leaf clean up...dry and mild.
  23. After a rather warm and dry early fall, It's been a fast jump to late fall weather early this week with Low 40s and Le rain. Looks like a pleasant end to the week though, don't want to cool off the lake too fast.
  24. The storms this afternoon sure looked nasty and sounds like there may have been a few tornadoes as well. Mostly just heavy rain and winds here.
  25. The rain and majority of the clouds cleared out pretty quickly this morning. With just scattered clouds this afternoon , we should have pretty good eclipse viewing!
