  1. First the north country steals our snow and now Nova Scotia is stealing our ‘canes. j/k
  2. Verbatim can you imagine what the winds would be in the Maritimes with a 945 low and 1025 high to the north? (Edit..of course you can this is a weather forum, Duh!) That would be fun
  3. Since that would be next Tuesday that’s barely enough time to complete my panic shopping and turn my home into a WW2 bunker
  4. Isn’t that scenario basically Sandy about 200 miles north?
  5. Hurricane Teddy just doesn’t have the name gravitas that other storms have had. It sounds like a friend dropping in for a quick drink
  6. Three years ago today I was in New Orleans to see the Pats play the Saints. Looks like I was three years too early
  7. I wouldn’t mind a Greek named storm. That would be tough to forget
  8. I’m beginning to think we (the northeast) are done with this season. I think we had a short window a month ago and now it’s closed at least for this year
  9. There’s a cool doc on the history channel about the ‘38 hurricane right now
  10. Nice! Stupid question. Does anyone have a good link to recommend to check out the future model runs of these storms? I don’t mind subscribing if I need to.
  11. To myself an eerie future where nothing happens would be in and of itself, ominous
  12. Thanks for the response. Certainly food for thought
  13. Oh I know that. But wouldn’t it be great if it did?
  14. I decided I’d be ok with a repeat of Hurricane Belle circa 1976. Anything to break the monotony
  15. Today has definitely been the John Holmes of pleasant summer days
  16. Oh I agree and in fairness I don’t want CT using Dixie cups to communicate if that happens. I think the Bob example maybe 50 miles west would be “fine”
  17. I’d like a 1635/1815 hybrid with just a dash of ‘38 thrown in. (mostly kidding)
  18. We will be in the bullseye for a few days and then Lucy will pull the football away
