...AND advisory was cancelled...lol
Whatevs...at least the ugly grass is covered up completely.
I’m not sure what you expected out of this storm? I guess some of the model snowfall forecasts were in the 6 inch range but my experience is that those amounts are not to be taken verbatim. I think most local Mets nailed this forecast. The 3 inches here met my expectations. Now let’s add on a couple more inches tomorrow.

Just took my 1PM measurement, 2.2 inches since 7AM. I measured 0.8 at 7 so that gives me 3.0 inches for the “storm”. Still snowing lightly probably won’t make it to 4 inches.
-
Closing in on 3 inches here and still snowing moderately to heavy.

It’s been snowing at a pretty good clip here for the last hour, closing in on 2 inches. When I measured at 7 we had 0.8 inches of snow on 0.06 inch LE.

Sometimes with the negativity on this board I have to look to see if I’m on the SU basketball board, lol.

Giants finally found a team they could beat. Actually played a pretty good game today. Glad to see Eli get a win in what could be his last home game.

2 nearest WU stations down to 32° but yeah extremely wet crap lol
Hit 32 here for a while went back up to 33. About an inch of extremely wet snow on my car, seems like an April snow.

Car thermometer already down to 33°, was low 40s just a couple hours ago..
We got home just over an hour ago it was pouring rain and 41. Now it’s 33 and my deck is covered with snow.

Flakes just starting to mix in here.

There are abandoned Soviet probes from the 1960s on the surface of Venus that have better reliability than KTYX.
I think they used the leftover parts from those probes when they built that radar site. Probably still uses tubes.

Pretty solid dusting of snow here. Maybe 0.1" if I'm feeling generous. KBGM was spot on for no. Onondaga cty. It is windy and sh*tty cold out though, so we have that going for us. Which is nice.
I’ve had some periods of fairly decent snow here this evening. Probably closing in on an inch.

At this rate, Syracuse is going to keep falling behind Buffalo and Rochester even more. If Lake Erie didn't freeze over, those cities, especially Buffalo, would beat the crap out of Syracuse in the snowfall department.
Take it easy, it’s the bottom of the second and we’re down 2 runs. One swing of the bat is all we need!

It started snowing here about 10 minutes ago and it’s just about done already. Came down pretty hard for about 5 minutes, lol.

Not the exact location you mentioned but it gives the idea.

A Bay getting a pounding this morning as the band that's over them has to be producing at least 2-3"/hr no doubt!

There’s 2 bands coming off Ontario. The northern band is going right down the St. Lawrence. The southern band is coming ashore just north of Sacketts Harbor. Even Kingston, Ontario is getting snow out of this.

The snow started at 7 AM here and ended about 2:30 so 7.5 hours of snowfall. I got about 2 inches of wet snow here.
-
About an inch here so far but it’s a very wet almost springlike snow. I wouldn’t be surprised if the ratio is 10:1 or less. Still snowing, 33 degrees.

They kinda won it back in 1947-48.
Albany 90.0”
Buffalo 42.1”
Rochester 75.5”
Binghamton and Syracuse did not have official record keeping sites that were recognized by the NWS at the time however.
.Until 1950 weather observations for Syracuse were taken downtown. After 1950 observations were moved to Hancock Intl. Airport which is about 10 miles north of the city. More snow generally falls north of downtown so most of Syracuse’s record are post 1950.

Pouring snow here right now. Looks like the heaviest will be just north of here (Hastings area) but I’m glad to be in part of the action.
