I work in retirement and its tough to see the older ones with no kids as sometimes they have no one to take care of them and start to get dementia. But having someone to take care of you is no reason to have kids. If I ever did have them I think I am going to stick to one. We both work full time and like having the freedom as you mentioned. My typical day is work, gym, eat/shower, netflix, video games. We go on 3-4 trips a year too. My entire lifestyle would have to change if we were to have children. I do think I am going to have one though in the next few years. 1 kid and a few dogs is good for me. When and if I do have one, he/she is going to be the biggest weather weenie east of the rockies.
I don’t work in retirement, lol! I never had any kids and I can’t say I miss it on a day to day basis. In fact I didn’t get married until 5 years ago although we’ve been together for 14 years. The dogs are my kids and although they can cause complications when it comes to traveling I can’t see being without them until I get too old to take care of them.

Since we’ve gotten off on a pet tangent, these are our 2 pooches. The terrier mix on the right is the one with cancer. We adopted her just over a year ago. She was rescued from South Carolina and came north with several health issues including heart worms and mammary tumors. The rescue group had the tumors removed and they were found to contain cancer. We spoke with the vet and was told there was a chance the cancer could come back but we decided to adopt her anyways. Late summer we found some more growths and had them removed. One was a cancerous lymph node which means the cancer has spread. Her prognosis is not good, we’re just trying to give her as long as we can with as good a quality of life we can. It’s sad because she is a very good dog. The white Bichon is a rescue from a puppy mill. She’s 14 and we’ve had her almost 5 years. She’s still doing well but is attached to the other dog so we worry about her when we lose the terrier.

I hope your dog is alright. We’re dealing with one with cancer right now. We’ve been taking her to the oncologist at the Veternary Medical Center of CNY on Bridge Street so I’ve become familiar with that area. We know what you’re going through with a sick pup.

GFS has a dump of arctic air over us at the end of next week. 850 temperatures around -25 will give delta Ts close to -30 over the lakes.

I drove my wife into work this morning around 8. Just a few flakes in the air in Brewerton. Driving south on I81 we ran into a wall of snow just before route 31. The road surface quickly became snow covered. Exiting on Taft road the off ramp was a mess as was Taft. When I dropped her off the snow tapered off. By the time I headed back north on 81 the pavement was basically just wet. There must be a lot of salt on the road and with the temperature right around the snow melted almost immediately. Snow picked up again at Brewerton and we had about a half an hour of heavy snow. In between squalls now but waiting the squall line over Wayne county to pass through in about a half an hour.

But after their 60 pages at leas they have snow on the ground. Haha. We just wishfully look at storm 268 hours out and nothing even materializes.
Their snow will melt by Thursday whereas ours will last at least until Friday, lol.

I heard this Judge guy worked his way up from being Belicheater's camera guy to taking care of footballs pregame.
The Giants are going to need more than that to win.

It would be something if the Goofus pulled a coup on this one.

It's better than HC I guess..
Are you sure it’s not for head coach?

We are becoming the new Detroit Lions.
What is happening with the Maras? There have been low points in the past. Pete Rozelle saved them from themselves in the late 70s by making them hire George Young as GM. Looks like no one is going to bail them out now.

That’s some temperature crash on the GFS. Upper 30s at 0Z Sunday, mid 20s at 6Z and mid teens at 12Z. Snow ratios should come up fast overnight.

It's 4-5 days out, we will see many 15-20 mile jumps in next few days. Either way finally something exciting to track.
Exactly, it’s time to lay back, watch the models and not get too excited until Friday.

15-20 miles can make a huge difference in this setup.

12Z GFS coming in warmer.

My niece who lives in Fort Worth TX just posted pictures of her kids outside in the snow on Facebook. Granted it’s not a lot but it shows how crazy this weather pattern is. Right now it’s 31 degrees in Fort Worth.
