I work in retirement and its tough to see the older ones with no kids as sometimes they have no one to take care of them and start to get dementia. But having someone to take care of you is no reason to have kids. If I ever did have them I think I am going to stick to one. We both work full time and like having the freedom as you mentioned. My typical day is work, gym, eat/shower, netflix, video games. We go on 3-4 trips a year too. My entire lifestyle would have to change if we were to have children. I do think I am going to have one though in the next few years. 1 kid and a few dogs is good for me. When and if I do have one, he/she is going to be the biggest weather weenie east of the rockies. ^_^

I don’t work in retirement, lol!  I never had any kids and I can’t say I miss it on a day to day basis.  In fact I didn’t get married until 5 years ago although we’ve been together for 14 years.  The dogs are my kids and although they can cause complications when it comes to traveling I can’t see being without them until I get too old to take care of them.

  2. Since we’ve gotten off on a pet tangent, these are our 2 pooches.  The terrier mix on the right is the one with cancer.  We adopted her just over a year ago.  She was rescued from South Carolina and came north with several health issues including heart worms and mammary tumors.  The rescue group had the tumors removed and they were found to contain cancer.  We spoke with the vet and was told there was a chance the cancer could come back but we decided to adopt her anyways.  Late summer we found some more growths and had them removed.  One was a cancerous lymph node which means the cancer has spread.  Her prognosis is not good, we’re just trying to give her as long as we can with as good a quality of life we can.  It’s sad because she is a very good dog. The white Bichon is a rescue from a puppy mill.  She’s 14 and we’ve had her almost 5 years.  She’s still doing well but is attached to the other dog so we worry about her when we lose the terrier.

  3. I drove my wife into work this morning around 8.  Just a few flakes in the air in Brewerton.  Driving south on I81 we ran into a wall of snow just before route 31.  The road surface quickly became snow covered.  Exiting on Taft road the off ramp was a mess as was Taft.  When I dropped her off the snow tapered off.  By the time I headed back north on 81 the pavement was basically just wet.  There must be a lot of salt on the road and with the temperature right around the snow melted almost immediately.  Snow picked up again at Brewerton and we had about a half an hour of heavy snow.  In between squalls now but waiting the squall line over Wayne county to pass through in about a half an hour.

Is NY big enough for 2 Judges, lol?  I was listening to WFAN about an hour ago and I thought they were talking about interviewing Garrett for head coach.  I can’t say I follow college assistant coaches but I never heard of this guy.
