  1. Just had a proper gust front from a cell moving overhead. It's about to pour!
  2. Clouded over just a few minutes ago, temp's down to 89 now.
  3. One of my poor neighbors decided now was the right time to mow. Hope they're staying hydrated.
  4. Sounds about right. Wasn't nearly as intense as it looked like it was going to be. "Only" dropped another .25" for a total of 1.35" on the day.
  5. Those clouds I mentioned turned out to be pretty thick scud. It was cool to watch it swirling around as it passed over though.
  6. I don't know if you all can make it out, but there are some ominous looking clouds to my west where that line is trying to form: That last cell dumped .85" for a total today of 1.1"
  7. We're up to .25" from the first batch of storms. Big, fat drops of water, too.
  8. Boy howdy. I just went for a little jaunt in my new car, came back and found out that it will fit in my garage even though the garage is full of projects. Then it started downpouring. Not seeing any rotation in the velocity scan though, but there are hints of hail in the regular returns.
  9. Yup, that's what it looks like. Quite the impressive MSC incoming. It's supposed to get pretty warm today, I wonder if we won't see that thing gaining strength throughout the day.
  10. Interesting clouds to my west with the approaching rain:
  11. Interestingly (to me), my first recorded 90°F+ day last year was May 23rd where my back yard hit 91.9. So while I certainly was not expecting to see 90's in the weekend forecast earlier this week, I guess it's not a significant outlier. Oh well, time to test the AC again.
  12. Usually me neither--all my cars have also been dark blue or black. But I really liked the look of this one when I rented one a couple of years ago, and secondly, mud shows up pretty well on it and I plan on doing some very light off-roading. (I had rented one to do remote geological work and it handled the trails I was on pretty capably.) This will be no roads-only driveway queen. I aim to put her to work.
  13. Just brought home my first new car in almost 20 years. (The Hyundai is my wife's.) Feels real good. The above post, not so much, but hopefully I'll at least get better mileage than my old car.
  14. Ended up with .25" here for the day. Not nearly as wild as was forecasted (it's been windier in the past few hours than it was all day) but still a pretty decent and fun little late spring event to watch unfold.
  15. Friend in Phoenixville reports some brief pea-sized hail.
  16. Hard to say. There's still stuff developing all around as well, generally heading ENE.
  17. I know, weird, right? Check out how non-windy it was during the rain @2:30pm:
  18. Brief downpour gave us .18" of rain. Surprisingly little wind as well, given how much that aspect of todays storms had been hyped.
