  1. Yeah it is a combo of many things, I do think the celebrating last weekend just hasn't had enough time to manifest itself as an issue. We will have a better idea in a week on that one.
  2. That setup would be pretty ideal too, nice strong high in Quebec and a strong high pressing in from NW. There have been some signals on the longer range EPS/GEFS of a potential in that period. Something to watch for sure.
  3. Most of the celebrations happened on Saturday, 6 days ago. You are trying to ramrod a reason for the explosion when it literally can't be the reason.
  4. Right now you are starting to see the after effect of Halloween weekend and it is just bad everywhere combined with an already rising caseload.
  5. Of course those celebrations were not helpful but you have one side hyperfocused on that and ignoring the countless other issues going on daily. Plus we didn't hear crap about those Trump rallies that were happening daily for weeks. At least with the election celebrations there were mostly masks being worn.
  6. Halloween, in person schooling, and people not caring.
  7. I believe the thought was the top positive return was around 200-250k because of that. Of course if the rate of positivity goes up much more then those numbers could even be passed.
  8. A record day in MI almost 7000 cases. This is only getting worse because of ignorance and carelessness.
  9. You want terrifying here you go
  10. I get that but the problem is the alternative is people out on the streets by the thousands, we literally can't have that in the middle of a pandemic.
  11. Yeah, not to get too political but there have been stimulus after stimulus passed in the house some even bipartisan and support from the White House. There is an obvious blockage and that isn't going away I fear. One side of the fence at least views this as a serious problem.
  12. Funding from the government to at least cover rent and mortgages. It is the only way, if we can spend a couple trillion keeping businesses open we can do the same so people don't lose their houses and have no where to go.
  13. A lot longer than people can go without pay and food.
  14. Maybe we shouldn't be evicting people in the middle of a pandemic especially as we go into winter. I won't even touch that last one. Maybe people could go to the utopia of SC though where everything is magical.
  15. I hear that the NE subforum has a thread again, so those of you who want to work in misinformation and falsehoods have a place to go.
  16. Had the AC on going to work, car said 80. DTW maxed at 77 which crushed the record of 68, still 72 right now.
  17. 77 at DTW today, should hit 77 tomorrow too which would destroy 68 for the record. I honestly bet it is beat before noon.
  18. A swift kick in the ass out of this thread would be one chocolate he should get. "Word on the street" has no business in this thread, especially when it is unverified bullcrap.
  19. Already over 70 here should end up around 75-78 for most of the area today.
  20. No point in burning cold now. Save it for December and beyond.
  21. 73 at DTW breaking record of 71, tomorrow might be pushing it as the record is 75, but Tuesday could be crushed, record is only 68.
  22. See, I don't know how I feel about this. While yes it would be impossible to replace him, Jeopardy itself is an institution. Its hard to imagine it not being on the air, it would be like The Price Is Right or Wheel Of Fortune not being on air.
  23. Yeah that is what the local news said earlier. Will be weird watching knowing he is gone though.
  24. At one point almost all of us have sat under the learning tree of Jeopardy, it really is just sad even if it was expected eventually, ****ing cancer. A true institution of television that is irreplaceable.
