Saw a view of it from in the city. You could see the blowout rolling through and debris coming in like a wave.

Going to keep my obs in this thread as we are not fully in the brunt of this storm over here, and don't want to get my obs in the way of more serious obs. Currently 1.02" IMBY station. Occasional light winds. Current other stats are 69/96/68 Pressure is 29.00 and falling.

Getting a lot of flashes off of those storms well to my North in PA down here in Frederick.

Should see who has the least rain so far from this. 0.12” since midnight for me.

Looks like the south gets it again. At this point up here I will be totally surprised if we actually get anything.

At a lesson with the youngest Miss J. It is absolutely nasty out. Even under cloud cover I feel like I did not even shower today.

Serious question where do you go to the bathroom on your trip down? That is another concern for us. After having two kids the sizes of watermelons my bladder is not what it used to be. Heck even this morning while waiting in the car for my youngest daughters Ortho appt, which they do not allow parents in, I almost peed my pants. Got home and it was all I could do to make it into the bathroom. I was seriously so close to going in a cup in my car. The idea of an 11 hr car trip with no access to bathrooms is enough to keep me at home.

We had wanted to plan a trip to the N. GA mountains the beg of August. My IL's have a mountain house. So would be somewhat secluded. With the numbers going up in GA and me being immune compromised we decided to not chance it. IL's were disappointed but the decision had to be made. We will not be going anywhere anytime soon as all of my immediate and extended family live in GA and FL with one in OH.

BOE in Frederick today voted unanimously for 100% virtual learning for the first semester. There is talk about bringing in those students that have IEPs, ELL and at risk students in very small groupings so that they can have their accommodations met. Also fall sports will not happen. None one wins in this but at the end of the day the right decision was made.

Happened with our fridge last year like that. It was a leak in the condenser line for the freezer that had gone bad before under warranty. Went bad again and out of warranty. Cost to fix over 1k. Ah no got a new fridge for just a bit more than the repair.

Well Mr. J will have a fun work day today. Overnight noticed internet was down. Was back this morning but keeps dropping. Has dropped over 8 times in just the last hour.

I will keep you in my Rolodex. My dad is a retired electrician but lives in FL. And my one brother is also an electrician but lives in OH. So I cannot call on them. We have a guy in our neighborhood we have used who is very good but always loose his contact info.

Trip to North Africa tonight. Mediterranean fish Shakshuka style. Just a small bit of heat with some Harissa seasoning. Fresh mint on top. All cooked on the stove top so I did not have to heat up the house with the oven.

Super proud of the younger Miss J getting through a hot show day with some great pinnings.

Mr J works for a local video game company as an animator. And we are good family friends with another couple who work there and the husband is a programmer. I did some programming in college. Wanted to throw the monitor across the room. I am a perfectionist but searching through lines of code for a tiny error just frustrates me. I applauds those who do it and enjoy it.

Cell just blew up right imby. Pouring. Much needed rain.

You are in the same place I am in. This heat has been too hot for me to even cook and enjoy it. Dinner tonight was leftover Cuban pork butt with some BBQ sauce. The rest of the family is doing Quesadillas. I did the butt in the crock pot I do not even want to turn on the oven. Broke down the other night and told Mr. J it was too hot to cook and we were ordering pizza.

Waiting in the parking lot of the oldest daughters dance studio and getting dumped on! Wind lightning and thunder. Loving it!!
