So took the family to New Orleans tonight. A spot on to taste recipe of Shrimp Creole. Mr. J raved over it. While a decent amount of prep it was very quick to put together for serving.

I meant trade snow for storms. Yes certain areas of Frederick have had severe storms and even tornadoes. I am not saying I want that, it is more of I want garden variety storms. I love the roll of thunder. My particular area in Frederick Co though does get split more often than others. I am closer to the Potomac and storms that come across at Point of Rocks seem to split quite often. I have many times seen a storm come into MD and get excited, only to watch it slip just to my N or S. We seem to do better when the storms are pushing down from PA and the MD panhandle than storms coming up from the SW in particular. But I am glad to hear that our reports up here help you. I became a spotter because of the lack of weather coverage we get up here sometimes. Growing up near Toledo, OH we had a very good weather group on the local stations. When I first moved here I was disappointed in the major local news weather reporting. As many times we would get hit with weather and there be no info until the said weather event made it into MoCo and close to Baltimore. I took the spotter class so that I could be a set of eyes on the ground up here and alert people I know. I even one time was called by the NWS in the middle of a particularly violent storm coming down from PA to help them confirm what they were seeing on radar so they could warn the storm. That was my proud weather moment. I am not the most knowledgeable weather person when it comes to maps and outlooks. My dyslexia holds me back on that front. But I love being an observer and spotter. Dyslexics do better visually anyways.

That is where I have been for about a year lately. Have been going off gut, know it sounds non scientific but it has helped me not get any unnecessary expatiations. Has just simplified my life really and cut down on stress.

I grew up in OH so know about Licking County. When driving out west two summers ago we made a point to get gas at the Kum and Go. Mr J even got a shirt.

I will trade my snow for other's thunderstorms.

Snowing pretty good. Sidewalks finally giving up and are mostly covered.

Just drove home from VA. Kid got a ride in an indoor today. Visibility on 340 was horrible. Just glad nothing sticking to the roads yet.

Ehh don’t beat yourself up. We can call it a tie.

Aspic anything is just plain nasty! I mean yea when refrigeration was not around you got to preserve. But concoctions such as above make me want to double over. Sorry you were subjected to this nastyness.

I have a sensitive side but the other side is pure weirdo.

Right!?! When I first saw them they reminded me of a feminine product and was like I am not feeding my kids those!

Oh You Tube is a gold mine for stuff like this. Look up Octopus hotdogs, just saying...

I love Banana cream and Coconut cream too. I am equal opportunity. Whitefish is good too. And with my new eating style much healthier if not fried.

Making a big ass dutch oven pot of Vegetable soup. After getting what I would call a good phone call from my Dr. yesterday. Still don't know what is going on with me but all the stuff they tested for came back fine. So even though I do not believe that I have a food allergy, I have had such a good response from my body physically and mentally that I am planning on keeping dairy and bread items out or at least on the very low consumption. My skin still feels like it is on fire with ants crawling on it and I am still getting hives but the more I look into it and the fact that I am on medication to remove Estrogen to keep cancer away, it is looking more and more like I have hit that magical time in life where my body says F-you dumps all the hormones and and throws the book at you. So I hope to be showing more clean eating meals as I am diving into the Mediterranean diet.

During winter here in MD I have found all I really want is sun. Can be a cold day with snow on the ground but sunny. Where I grew up in NWOH snow was a given most years. And it sticks around. But there were less days with sun. Making it hard on a persons mental state. Upon moving to MD over 20 years ago I saw that you can have snow and sun on the same day. As for the amount of snow, yes I seem to live in an area of MD that can get dumped on when a good storm track comes in. But I have found after several years that I am just not a snow person anymore. It is pretty and with that I have enjoyed the smaller events more. I had many reasons I was happy to move from OH. The change in weather patterns was one of them. I have found that I prefer a good t-storm over a good snow storm. But I do not begrudge any of you a shackling of snow. So not really sure where this post falls in the grand scheme of things. Probably just a rambling of my morning brain. Enjoy life!!

He still works there. Well has been working from home since last April. Cool that you have the Dragonborn statue. We have gotten a lot of Fallout Swag over the last few years so themed off of that mostly. I have to say I like her fine too, although I will get slammed for the girl power thing and all. But personally at my age I just don’t care anymore.

Sun is out over here. The Miss J’s are happy as the drive will clear itself.
-
I don’t judge. Everyone has the things that make them happy. Just an accent wall. Have a dark gray on the walls surrounding the bathroom and a lighter version of that gray around the rest.

I have been thinking with doing custom pieces. The customer gives me the piece they want done and how and I do the art work. I did a coffee table out of an old table also a few years back. Mr. J works for a local game studio so we use what swag he gets for our theme.

So thought I would show you all my next project. The youngest Miss J wants to play more board and card games. So as we are finishing off our lower level decided a games table was needed. So trolled FB marketplace and picked up a cheap used table locally. Plan to do a Steampunk theme on it to go with the game theme we have. Have gotten Milk Paint and Mr. J is currently working on a gear piece template so that I can be accurate with the transfer. The example is just that as we chose different colors to go with the game room. Hope to get started on it today.

Just woke to a winter wonderland. Big fat fluffy flakes. Eyeballing about 2” out of my bedroom window out on the deck.

Grew up going to Cedar Point every year. It was not to far from where I grew up. Last time I was there was when we took the Miss J’s when they were younger. My parents went with us so Mr J and I could do the coasters. Let me just say I got on the Raptor and almost tossed my cookies. That was the day I knew I was done with inverted coasters. Hershey Park put the nail in my coffin when the Wild Mouse did the same.

Taking the youngest Miss J over to ride her pony. Got to get in days in the winter when we can with no indoor.
