    A very strong case can be made for the boards being more interesting without mod's but a strong case can be made for the need for mod's as well. Someone who is a moderator needs to have an even keeled personality and thick skin. If you subscribe to the Internet Tough Guy magazine then moderating is probably not for you.

    February is going to have some confidence issues as I have seen several posts (on MA mostly) saying something like 'It is March now'. LOL.

    Yea, I especially want to chip in when a mod is acting out. Its like a police officer mocking people on the street. I truly thinks its going to snow for many tomorrow night though I am not thinking plow truck drivers make much off it. LOL.

    I actually feel bad for you (knowing you are driving) when I may gleefully post about snow. I hate to insult anyone though I know I do it anyways unintentionally. But at the same time I know that you know Pro Snow posts are not directed at you so all good at the end of the day :-).

    And there is no need to be hurtfully sarcastic in replies. Especially a mod. Like you said, the LR thread is for weather discussion of all kinds. The assertion of "reading the room" seems ridiculous to me and why I have been mocking its use. If someone wants to a comment about hoping snow melts soon, during an active winter storm, have it. As long as its not directed at other posters or meant to mock other posters.

    That's the difference right there. So many of the warminista's in the MA are sarcastic to a fault and their replies are insulting to the author of the post.

    Totally agree...except for snow days I am not a fan of the less sun time either. I remember getting home from school and (in the 70's and 80's) and thinking I might as well go to bed as it was dark already and I did not have the internet to waste my mind.

    There is cold air near by Tuesday so need the high to be displaced a bit farther West as the parent low of the one you posted has an easy path North East. It will gain latitude too quickly with the low being that far East. Better placed high and we have a Snow Storm sweeping in.

    So its not snow but looks like GFS keeps MDT below freezing all day next Tuesday.

    53 here right now. Still quite a bit of snow though.

    Just going to need some help with surface temps. Will be in the teens and low 20's Friday AM so that is a little helpful is keeping ground temps down a bit.

    Euro still likes a WSW level snow for the Northern third of PA in one week....minor snows south. Miller Hybrid/Nor'Easter that is tucked.

    Rgem has a fairly warm surface but still a wwa event if they call one for 1 to. 2".

    We just do not want too much in the way of a southerly push. Need an engineer to keep that train steady.

    Interesting. I remember it being warm one of those days and seeing a 70 degree high here so that makes sense.
