  1. The new toll booths over the 83 bridge are going to slow things down. Lol
  2. If it comes late morning into the afternoon they may be right though even mid-day roads will get covered with over 1" an hour rates. If it starts before daybreak and we all get .4 to .6 in qpf it's a plowable storm IMO.
  3. I mentioned this before but all the schools I saw cancel school last week also cancelled virtual. Not sure why. I did not look into schools in Cumberland, Dauphin, York, etc...
  4. Verbatim model reading would make tomorrow one of our top 5-6 snows this Winter I believe. Getting less headlines than I would expect especially with the terrible timing. Potential for some of those "I got stuck on the way to work in a 4 hour traffic jam" stories. Take the LSV. Most models have some jackpotting in the 4-6" range. MDT could potentially get more snow tomorrow than all of last winter.
  5. Sometimes it's nice to get off work and drive home with little fear of traffic issues.
  6. I have also appreciated the "what's next" results from the last 4 or 5 weeks. Even now as we go into a borderline high wwa situation, next weekend has opened up as a tracking target.
  7. I had commented about the coming quandary a few days. Not cool to have busses rolling with snow falling and covered roads.
  8. Yep, potential here for more than it is being hyped up.
  9. Snowing through majority of the state by 8AM on the HRRR. Early arrival and caved roads.
  10. I laughed too but it certainly sends home the importance of proof reading emails, especially worked related.
  11. I even put the proper dash between post and frontal and the phone still screwed it up.
  12. The 18z gfs had a lot of rain, post-frontal snow and a cold snap to start the new month.
  13. Wwa's probably issued tomorrow as the start time keeps moving up. Canadians drop half a foot just to our south...probably overdone but still....
  14. Quite a bite of blowing and drifting today. Roads were a bit treacherous at times (back roads).
  15. I suspect good rates will lead to dynamic cooling and bring most down under freezing if it happens sometime mid morning or before. Roads will be fine Monday Pm though. A decent haul Monday helps protect the pack a little from the upcoming 50ish temps. :-). Hopefully this one does not go off the rails.
  16. Timing on Monday will be interesting. Looks like the general average is mid morning which will be less of an issue but if you take the common thought that it gets here a few hours before modeled and at least one model (Rgem) has it starting before or near daybreak, for the western 2/3 of PA, it leaves the door open for schools to be closed 3 days in a row and people to call out again. LOL. Several of the schools around here (some in MD) are cancelling virtual and in place on these snow days.
  17. Yuck, The Villages. It was all falling into place until that ended up being end game.
  18. We are near 50" but I had the benefit of that crazy "deathband"/enhancement this month. 22" in two days.
  19. MD line has been the place to be this winter. We are both probably near 40 plus inches now.
  20. I have heard more than one person suggest winter was over. Sort of strange. It's almost like people are wishing it away. Someone told me we are hitting 70 next week? Lol
  21. I suspect half the folks who saw that picture saw beer. LOL
