I have seen it in videos and it would almost freak me out. I get into that mode of "wouldn't it be my luck for one to come up short when I am here". It does look amazing.
Its funny but there seems to be something most like to watch out of Planes, Trains or Automobiles (not the movie). I find commercial planes more fascinating. Reminds of those hilarious Dr. Rick Progressive commercials about protecting you from becoming your parents...the one guy reading a book on submarines and Dr. Rick asks "Who else likes to read about Submarines"?
I think I had commented before that it seems the Christmas heat wave is being forgotten? It hit 70 here Christmas Eve and 67 the day of...not really a thaw but yuck just the same. Was fairly chilly during the evenings though. But that was really the only push of heat which was great this season.
Playing the hot hand. Nam is setting up for white rain or snow as well. Icon is also on board. Regardless of horse shedding there may still be some winter left.
The Canadians are close to giving us snow Friday night. Would be a very marginal situation but if one wants to track something....total qpf for the LSV. Some of this QPF in North and West PA is from another event. Did not look at the column but surface temps are 35-38ish as depicted right now.
Man, I got kicked in the ass for punting December last winter (when it deserved to be punted based on the results) but even I cannot call winter over when Met winter is not even over.
LOL. FHS told a story earlier about beating up "Chuck Roads". He spelled Chuck Rhodes' name wrong so I was mocking that he got the wrong guy. Chuck Rhodes is retired.
I hear Chuck Roads will be out of the hospital soon and FHS has a standing order to not go within 1000 feet of him so maybe he is a possibility. LOL. Chuck Rhodes might be jealous though.
I like to watch the local news so I know what I am up against in talking to others outside the weather circle. There are still people/families who gather around the TV when Joe Calhoun comes on as if it was the President speaking about an impending war.
Today's 12Z GFS was still showing rain for today. GFS has not had a good winter from my recollection. RGEM was best on the depths today and, at least for the LSV, the Nam's call of sleet did fairly well.
