Post noon Chambersburg. 63 and breezy has turned into windy. If it were 5 less degrees it would not be comfortable out.

My fingers had HIA, Allegiant and some other words ready to go, I did not want to offend. LOL. Just took the 18Z temps and added 4-5 degrees to them. Temps next week are definitely down from some earlier runs I saw last week.

I updated my post above. Not quite as chilly as 18Z last night but I think more fall like is appropriate. Averages/norms for 10/21 are 64 and44.

59 and very breezy out. 6Z GFS still much more fall like after mid month. A couple days a warm front is fairly close to coming north for a short bit but still mostly 50's and 60's for highs and 40's for lows. Not quite as chilly as 18Z last night. Verbatim, no 80's next week. 75ish 18Z one day. Approx LSV highs and lows 10/17: 65 and 50 10/18: 63 and 45 10/19: 63 and 43 10/20: 67 and 45 10/21 58 and 45 10/22: 58 and 40 10/23: 68 and 42 10/24: 64 and 50.

A whole bunch of highs in the 50's and lows in the 40's and upper 30's. A couple days in the 60's. DP's mostly 40's and 30's. On mobile so just quick 2m scan.

This whole week has been nice but a bit humid. Two days we stayed in the 60's.

No doubt but it would be ironic if we had the warmest October ever without getting close to any records.

Just went and checked my numbers on this and the closest MDT has come to a record high or low temp, this month, has been 4 degrees on 10-6 when the low was 65 with the record being 69. As mentioned the highs have been no where near records with one day this week being 22 degrees under the record. I think one day they got within 7.

12Z EC back to its more defined trough for 8-10 days out. Definitely transient but flipping and flopping some.

A record month with no high temps even remotely close to a record? (No low temps so far either though the records a bit closer to what MDT has come in at so far). FWIW, on the month we are currently near a +3 departure in the 'Ville. Highs have been below normal 3 days this week here. Lows have been 5-7 degrees too high. Central LSV is the one suffering the most.
