  1. @Cashtown_Coop, someone in Cashtown bought that old advertising piece I had up recently. So it is "coming home" per se.
  2. Seems Miami's record is 30, which is close to 32, but the more amazing thing is that in 1977 it snowed and accumulated enough to make small snowmen and snowballs. They had almost as much snow as MDT had a couple winters ago. They cancelled schools both due to "road conditions" and letting the kids play in it. Unsure if this pic is from Miami or Tampa as they both had accumulating snow that day.
  3. True. The green areas are growing a bit but the brown stuff is done until summer abates a bit.
  4. A portion of the front yard a few moment's ago. Last mowed ~2 weeks ago
  5. Gonna be hard to wash off your truck with dried rubber from the melting caused by the hot road.
  6. It never reached 100 anywhere I was during my 12 year stay in different areas of the state. It did reach 14 once. I know Ocala and Orlando have reached 100 at some point but it does surprise me Tampa never has. The City is pretty far removed from the main body of the Gulf and plenty of days with Winds blowing from the East.
  7. Interesting stat of the day....the location in the US that holds the record for the coldest temp ever recorded in the lower 48 (though there is some dispute on equipment used) is Rogers Pass, Montana at -70F. That same location has recorded a high temp 100 multiple times. Tampa, Florida has never reached 100.
  8. Some aim to keep that a distant Training memory.
  9. Already chatter about it in other locations. Bringing people (no AC) in to shelters. A bit far out to worry too much yet though. It is 2021 Palouse worthy in Kansas and Oklahoma with mass 120's.
  10. The suite is going bonkers back and forth. Yesterday is had one of the hot nights staying in the 80's while now it is low 50's.
  11. So you are not buying the 105-110 temps that version of the GFS spit out? Ironic that high happened near the normal peak of norms.
  12. Yea, if LR modeling is correct, its going to get a lot worse.
  13. Lot's of blues out that way or slightly east. Central and N Pa looking quite dry. I am jealous and have to find a way to use environs in a sentence today! MJS is probably really pondering it.
  14. PS-The Nam 3K has you getting 2-3" it appears...or close to you.
  15. I will have to mow the "lush area" at least. The other area looks like it was just mowed and is brown despite the earlier rain.
  16. Latest GFS pooch punts that heatwave into coffin corner. First and 10 at the one. Highs tomorrow around 70.
  17. I just checked yesterday and my mowing this weekend is in jeopardy Not growing much.
  18. I personally am never down for 105 to 110.
  19. It is back with a vengeance in 18z. Two days over 100 at 2PM. Pillow would hit 120. Would be national crisis.
  20. What it showed at 6Z was fairly extreme. Several days in the 100's HIA wise.
  21. And this one counts toward 2022-2023 totals per Blizz.
  22. Slightly over 1" which was quite a good haul like I mentioned. Weird but it was dry by this AM.
