  1. Another comment. The Nam 2M has been too cool on a lot of different kinds of weather days for months now. Not sure why. A fully cloudy/rainy day has not been as bad but on any day where sun or WAA was involved, it was too cool. This includes the Cad protected areas of the LSV.
  2. That is pretty much the only thing to use that I know of.
  3. I changed my post to say "average" vs unimpressed. The precip panels are not impressive though.
  4. The Euro is unimpressed for north of the M/D. 1-3" 10:1 probably 2-4 Kuch. So I guess average vs unimpressed.
  5. If we get really wound up HECS, maybe you see Flurries at your place in Florida?
  6. Don't forget the mid Jan "hope time" if things progress close to what was shown last evening.
  7. Still a nice cad setup for Sunday on the gfs. Could even be snow to sleet to ice. Less for me on the western front.
  8. Sounds like the Canadians are doing their best.
  9. Out of pocket but saw the Gfs snow map. Mostly 1-3 for LSV using kuch. Less for msv and usv. It's a bit south as to the low position. Looks like some transfer issues/holes.
  10. One more map to close out the Nam. Too bad much of this happens while dark. 3K Kuch
  11. I am good with it but its touch and go with that progression. Low really south. Off to an appt so my last PBP for the morning :-)
  12. Nam Kuch when most of the accumulating snow is gone. The very low totals near the Chesapeake are due to rain and a bit less qpf.
  13. S/W progress the MA about 50-100 miles further south than the 6Z Nam. Through NC then a turn NE (whether via transfer or just progression).
  14. At this point, I think there is a lot of confusion and multiple vorts running around up there. So not sure of the answer to that. Just an observation. Like I mentioned, people in the MA starting talking phasing yesterday. The opposite of spacing.
  15. 12Z Nam at 21 has the N/S Vort just above NY. Last night, at 0Z, it was slated to be east of Maine by that time (at least the lowest pressure as identified by the Nam)
  16. HRRR bumped up start time a bit more....5pmish tomorrow around the Capital Beltway. Also starts off as rain in the western LSV area.
  17. It was down for longer than I was expecting. I think IT may have already gone to bed at that point.
  18. We broke the board discussing plowable vs no last evening. The true winners were those trying out their plow techniques while us nerds were discussing it.
