  1. I can see the grass in Harrisburg greening up all the way from over here.
  2. The second line/area behind the scattered is indeed buffing up the last hour.
  3. Late Nooners as rain coming into the LSV though does not look overly healthy though HRRR and 3K both rev it up especially for southern LSV. 87. 91 at MDT
  4. Models had light showers this am into early afternoon....proceeding the frontal line mid afternoon. Models really focusing to our south and east if we get skipped.
  5. Outside the risk shown on the NAM, an LSV skip, I bet someone in the LSV breaks 1" today.....if the Nam is right it will be ugly and unfortunately Other suites show the skip a bit as well but not as "severe". Already light rain in the Northern LSV now.
  6. MDT snuck up to 92 for a 5 min snip...at 90 now. 88 here
  7. At this point its just a matter of pulling in the station I fear. Not sure how much growth we get if hot for the first half of Sept.
  8. 18Z HRRR has raining starting in the LSV before nooners tomorrow (eastern) and then the big act comes mid afternoon.
  9. Here’s when Vail’s resorts in Pennsylvania will open: Seven Springs Mountain Resort in Seven Springs, Somerset County will open in Nov. 25. Jack Frost Ski Resort in Kidder Township, Carbon County will open Dec. 2 Big Boulder Mountain in Kidder Township, Carbon County will open on Dec. 16. Liberty Mountain Resort in Carroll Valley, Adams County will open on Dec. 16. Roundtop Mountain Resort in Warrington Township, York County near Lewisberry will open on Dec. 16. Whitetail Resort in Montgomery Township, Franklin County near Mercersburg will open on Dec. 16. Hidden Valley Resort in Jefferson Township, Somerset County near Hidden Valley will open on Dec. 23. Laurel Mountain Ski Resort in Jenner Township, Somerset County near Boswell will open on Dec. 23.
  10. I think hoping for "fall temps" in Sept is a pipe dream anyway...at least day time highs. Now the 100's the GFS is showing are not right either.
  11. The Blizz "fall starts Thu no matter what" nooners is mostly sunny and 85.
  12. In the more near term, HRRR and 3K are both pretty hyped up about severed tomorrow afternoon.
  13. It has certainly been a slow has certainly been slow. First half of Tropical season is just about over.
  14. Not sure but when it shows the hottest temp ever in a month (extrapolated) it at least gets a mention. Odds are that it does not get "that hot" but hard to see it get too cool in the near future. Check out this cool but not cool map that shows the heat but also two tropical systems as noted in the 2M temps.
  15. Yea, I am not saying anything should or should not be celebrated just dissecting the data. The uber heat is still over 7 days away. A tropical system could alter the course of everything.
  16. Its not been a great look for a week now. It would be one thing if it was highs in the 70's and 80's but it is much warmer than that as a ridge sets up in the nations heartland and pumps warm Southwest air over us for days on end. Easily the hottest temps of the season....Mid 100's and the hottest temps ever in Sept as progged. It could not be much worse and the super heat the first full week of Sept is AFTER a mini heat run this coming week with mid 90's. It may change tomorrow but we need a seismic shift for a major change.
  17. Late Training and Canderson out of the area nooners....79.
  18. 59 this AM. Mostly sunny zones but expect another serving of Mostly Sunny scattered rains for the LSV today.
  19. Appears the 90 streak at MDT is over. After yesterday's 89.6 it could not continue the weak sauce 90 temps today topping out at 87.8/88 per the records I see. (I say that and magically it just jumped 4 degrees in 10 min....LOL. Chinook??? Our MDT records may be the least reliable in the nation.)
