  1. Maybe he wanted to be ready for the 6Z GFS to drop on his iPad? Hardy-Har-Har. :-)
  2. A not so fall like 65 here this AM. Warm breeze in the teens.
  3. Surprised there is not more love for Clifford the Big Blue QB. He helped save PSU last night.
  4. Have not been watching models much this week but the GFS seems a lot less hot for the next 10 days. No frosty forecast but not 18Z temps over the mid 80's and that is only about half the days that high. The record setting hundreds no where to be seen anymore.
  5. They have to skip the area to their south though. Dry in most of GA, SC and Ala.
  6. Half 'Til Nooners. 73 and still quite windy.
  7. I think we would have made 40's as well if the wind had not been an issue. Like I mentioned you had 40's in August so not so bad.
  8. VERY windy out..kept the temps up here into the mid 50's but gusts in the 30's this AM.
  9. Some 40"s in cold spots tonight...low to mid 50's others. Of course that happened in August too. Have to take what you can get. Does look very warm though normal highs are still in the 70's in early October.
  10. There is no denying temps are getting warmer but did any models predict those 90 days in Bradford...that is the wonderment. Mdt wise the results were much warmer than the predicts and that is both a worry and a question on environmental influence. We had By far the coolest Aug in 4 years in my part of the area and models predicted some of that. In 2011 Bradford reached 90 in September. In 1941 MDT reached 97 on October 5th and 7th: higher than any temp MDT reached this summer. In 1984 MDT reached 75 on Dec 29th. Those types of records are the shockers to me.
  11. brad Bradford is North and West of Harrisburg but there are in or close to D0 at this point. Compared to historical numbers it was a warm summer there. Do they have good equipment? That is a question. We know MDT is having all kinds of issues. Bradford has two recording stations so I took the airport for this post as it was the warmer station...they recorded two days 90 or above the entire summer and none in July or August. In 2020 they had one day at 90 or above and none in 2021.
  12. 82 coming up on 3:30. 66DP Definitely relative for seasonal trends but does Bradford end up higher than almost all models every sunny day? Averages are definitely going up regardless of elevation and urban.
  13. It just goes a step toward saying we have a new normal especially more urban/lower areas. The thing that stands out to me is that most models under forecasted the HIA areas on an almost daily basis.
  14. It is also good news when we are hashing out the final averages for summer. Summer is over. LOL
  15. Yep, that is my feeling as well. Not constant extreme heat but no breaks. I am not a good example because of our big differences over here but my family is in Etters so they were in the thick of it.
  16. 3.5 degrees AN just seems less than stellar when it comes to historical records. Hitting 91 when the average is 86 is ho-hum. My family thinks it was a mild summer and not at all hot (near MDT) and I can't argue with them. No real super hot stretches. Just no real cool stretches in Aug either. Just 30-45 min from MDT the elevated areas had a downright cool Aug.
  17. Night time low driven I assume (for #2 record). That is very much HIA driven. The highs were not that bad even at MDT. 18 or so of the days were AN but most only 4-6 degrees with several just 1-2 degrees.
  18. 54 this Am. Another BN normal morning in the books.
  19. Either way someone will say it is Bidens fault. LOL
