  1. Surprise (to me) air quality alert for tomorrow. Sauss, does 'throwing them back' count as strenuous? PAZ057-059-063-065-066-180400- Dauphin-Lebanon-Cumberland-York-Lancaster- 330 PM EDT Fri Jun 16 2023 ...AIR QUALITY ALERT IS IN EFFECT FOR SATURDAY JUNE 17... The Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert on Saturday for the Susquehanna Valley. A Code ORANGE Air Quality Alert means that air pollution concentrations within the region may become unhealthy for sensitive groups. Sensitive groups include children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases, and the elderly. The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors. For more information on ground-level ozone and fine particles, visit http://www.airnow.gov and http://www.aqpartners.state.pa.us. $$
  2. Yep, could be something for us and parts of the LSV.
  3. That cluster near Altoona and Tyrone looks pretty healthy. I am hoping for one more watering.
  4. Man, if we get a widespread D3 it will be quite the news. I will say on D2 by early July.
  5. I think some are still unwrapping all the details.
  6. Pedro sez that is the other kind of TMI! LOL
  7. My wife is the same way and sometimes it can get on my nerves. A 4 hour trip turns in to 8. 95 is a mess south of Washington right now like it is almost every day. That area between DC and Fredericksburg.
  8. The other thing I do not like down there is the road condition. There are "lines in the road" every few feet so the road noise goes way up. But, do not be shy...you can admit that you like it:
  9. It is the people not the road that bothers me as to I95....travelling down through western VA on I81 is worse, IMO. Rolling roadblocks when trucks underestimate how steeps the plentiful hills are.
  10. The I95 rebuild is about to have a delay. It seems surreal we are sitting here talking about one of the nation's most important roads being closed for such a period.
  11. Some people are getting off the training now. At this point the 11AM train is the Noon train.
  12. It is brewing right now but ITT is right, not much on the mesos's showing the Lanco storms this AM. At least not the ones I looked at.
  13. I saw them send a "small engine" out about 10 min ago.
  14. Lanco is tornado alley for the North East.
  15. Still sitting...I bet some parents are tired of their kids moaning about it.
  16. I will take the win with the .02 advantage though since I am bragging I bet you get a 2" storm this afternoon. I actually was probably closer to .41 LOL
  17. On mow #8 and my grass has not started to regrow at all yet despite the 1/3" on Mon and little bit on Wed. Some green but no mowing on the immediate docket here. Seems quite possible to go into July under double digits as I bet it grows some after today but if we are dry for the next week or two, one more mow will be it for June.
  18. HRRR has round 2, instability storms, between 3 and 9PM in the LSV.
  19. Hopes that they are ok and just a phone issue.
  20. I think we break 1/4" here...some juicer cells coming up toward Lanco from the SE.
  21. It is indeed minimizing as it comes out of the higher elevations. Fingers crossed it still gives you a good grass watering.
  22. Surely some terrain enhancement going on here but quite the slug still heading East. Should give yard waterers a break for the holiday weekend.
