  1. jan 2005 was another storm that had Richmond/DC as the bullseye a few days before the event. That was an awful event considering we were getting 20 plus inch outputs 3-4 days out
  2. no matter the track---the GFS simply will not give us snow for the Jan 8 event. Infuriating
  3. its actually a good thing it wasnt cold enough
  4. 18z GFS Para is hillarious Jan 9 jan 12 jan 14 jan 16
  5. we have 3 ways to win out of 4 but it seems like we get Miller B'd the most
  6. I remember the Christmas Eve euro run. I think it came out at 7pm back then lol but it gave Richmond 1-2 feet. Dt was going nuts .
  7. That was our first model heartbreak. Prepped us for March 2001 .
  8. No matter what track the gfs shows...it’s not snow lol .
  9. 80% of my love of snow has become Digital unfortunately. I used to enjoy it more when I was a kid and no models or radars. Usually I’m miserable during the event because it feels like it’s ending or it’s never as good as the model Hype or its not snowing as hard as i want. I do love heavy snow falling though. Prob top 5 favorite thing of my life. There is also a huge sense of loss when it’s over. I hate seeing the sun out and snow plows and dripping crap. Snow says are always stressful for me. But nothing like a great model run 3 days out. But it’s torture knowing the next run won’t be as good This is not a good hobby for me .
  10. This guy here is the biggest warmista on Twitter .
  11. That’s pretty pathetic. We saw that last year on eps .
  12. If you only knew what I have to endure to get snow in my area .
  13. oh and the canadien gives us rain from a system too north lol. GFS supressed-No snow for you Euro supressed-no snow for you GGEM-Not supressed--still no snow for you
  14. no sorry meant Jan 2002....i know it wasnt technically a Nina but it acted like one
  15. the models cant seem to give us a snowstorm....its either inland and its a mix like last nights 00z run....or its too far south like today 12z. And then the storm from the 14th dissappeared. We are not meant to get snow no matter what the pattern is
  16. Yep plenty of time to adjust this is a Nina type southern scraper like 2001 .
  17. i dont think we have ever got a north trend when we needed one
  18. there is a chance this -NAO pattern fails and the GFS shows why. There is hardly any cold air. Even with great storm tracks, everything is still very marginal. there is no place in the USA or even Canada that is uncomfortably cold here on this image during the coldest part of winter.
  19. seeing the backedge before the storm even begins.......
  20. i mean i was just wondering why the last storm cut---i wasnt looking for a pattern breakdown....but i thought it was odd that the final storm cut and now i know why lol.
  21. GFS trying to kill our pattern off towards the end lucikly gefs no agree
  22. Slow moving system. Too bad there is no 50 50
