  1. Have you experienced a dust storm yet? It's on my bucket list...they seem pretty intense. Cloudy/36F
  2. I blame the weather lady for throwing that term out there. (Trying to look superior/smart?) No shot 99%+ know the term besides weenies. It's like walking down the street tomorrow and ask the random person what they they think of the 12z GFS and will they stay up for the Euro later tonight? 99.98% would have no clue and probably think you're sniffing glue talking nonsense... 37F
  3. NBC10 weather lady kept on saying the word graupel for the last 2 weather segments and I knew no one had a clue what she was talking about. Minutes later, the two other ladies behind the main news desk said people were asking on facebook/twitter what the hell is graupel? Weather lady explained but the behind the main desk ladies still looked perplexed and I'm sure people asking the question were confused as well...it was cringe. Solved nothing...lol.
  4. Yep. How the hell can you stay up for model runs at 1:30am but when the actual event is occurring at 1:30am you're counting sheep...lol.
  5. IMO, 1.36475% this happens. 18z is always a glimpse of hope/makes weenies happy, click their heels only to get shot down by the 0z later tonight. Early Prediction: Philly: 1-2", maybe 3", Local Burbs 3-5" or so, Far N/W 6+". Marginal temps and the ocean is a boiling pot. Hope I'm wrong and things roll in our favor but these things rarely work out but I'll take 3-4" w/winds... 37F
  6. Still looking pretty good for us. Bipolar MA subforum still being, well bipolar. Outside/inside Christmas lights continue to stay on till it snows...
  7. Not that I wasn't already skeptical, the 4-12" clinched it. May as well predicted 4-18"... Cloudy/37F
  8. More like Lehigh Valley N/W. Just N/W of Philly would do better than Philly but Berks and such would do much much better. I always account for a 30-50miles N/W shift....still early though.
  9. Nah, Philly/NY and Dal/Wash games were both possible NFL "flex" games but now they both are set as 4:25pm start Sun. There's no real real drama in the NFC East. Dal most likely will crush Wash. Birds 5th seed, Dal win divsion... Overcast/42F
  10. Squirrels making weird-ass noises in the trees today to add to the "they know" theory..."click-click" and a "whining" sound. Overcast/42F
  11. Always get a little nervous about it looking good so early. Meh, screw that, something to follow at least...we didn't even have tickets to the game last year. Overcast/41F
  12. 39F, mostly cloudy w/some early light rain/drizzle. Looking at todays forecast, Accuweather already honking a bit about this weekend possible weather event...
  13. Maybe a snow shower/flurries can sneak in here in the wee hours...probably not. Cloudy/36F
  14. That's rough to get that close. Birds looked somewhat in control at halftime. I thought the spread was too high to begin with but thought they would at least win. Their D is just terrible. No LBs to cover over the middle stuff/run and the DBs give the receivers 10yrd cushions.
  15. What was your parley? Pretty sure they/Birds were favorites by -12.5...
  16. Well, that loss just killed the Birds. Most likely opening the playoffs on the road as a 5 seed. It's really simple as far as the final seeding goes. If the Cowboys win next week, the Eagles are the 5-seed. The 3-seed... The only way the Eagles can win the NFC East and hold the 3-seed in the postseason is if they beat the Giants in New York next week, and the Commanders somehow defeat the Cowboys in Week 18. If both teams finish the year at 12-5, or at 11-6, the Cowboys would hold the tiebreaker for the division crown. The Eagles are shutout now from getting the No. 2 seed because of a tiebreaking loss with the Lions, who are battling with Dallas for that spot in the final week of the season. The 5-seed... Short of a miracle in the season's final week, the Eagles will be playing a road game to open the playoffs at the winner of the NFC South division, which is looking like the Buccaneers even though they lost in Week 17. If they won that game, they'd then be playing either the Cowboys, 49ers or Lions on the road in the Divisional Round — should they still be alive.
  17. Pathetic...Cards march right down the field.
  18. Defense is horrible. They can't stop crap. Now only up 3, Cards w/the ball w/2:30 left in the 4th. This will really screw up my NYE if they lose....
  19. That's about right. Little too warm for my liking. Overcast/41F https://seatemperature.info/new-jersey-water-temperature.html
  20. Odd you say that. I've heard several flocks quacking overhead the past several days. Many late at night/overnight...thought I was dreaming. Clouds still here/43F
  21. Dallas is solid at home (7-0)they'll beat Det. Birds beat scrub Cards/Giants the final 2 games. SF lose to Rams final week. Piece of cake.... Still cloudy, 44F
  22. Speaking of football, hate to say it but you have to root for Dallas tonight vs Detroit if the Birds have any shot at the #1 seed/bye. This is great, rooting for Dallas and no snow under our belt...holidays to remember. 43F/Oh yeah, cloudy
  23. I think having your house windows open/screen, front screen door open and going shopping in a flannel only in late Dec is a problem. (yesterday) Gimmie a late night 1-3" clipper w/winds and I'll be happy... 37F/Cloudy
  24. Any late season snow slop won't do it for me. Crap March/April slop snow doesn't count. Just give me at least a clipper (1-3") or 2-4" before March will do...simple things seem to be so complicated these days. Couldn't look more like death/dark out there...36F.
