  1. State College at 31F/snow and temp has been falling consistency...Harrisburg 43F/Cloudy. 45F here... Like this in my WWA: "Briefly blizzard-like conditions are possible late this morning and early this afternoon."
  2. Even 2"/hr is pretty rare around these parts. I consider 1"/hr heavy stuff... 55F
  3. True...that's more Mid Atlantic subforum though...cough cough //Ji//
  4. Forgot to mention, they won't (I don't think/they usually don't) lay down brine today because it will start as rain. Townships thinking, "why brine the roads today when it will be washed away before the changeover to frz precip/snow". Advantage: Weenie
  5. I think we have a better chance than normal. No blow torch today (70s), temps will crash tomorrow downward through the 20s w/good rates at times. Here's how I think it will go: Wake up to rain, some weenies report snow mixing in, West weenies now reporting all snow then east weenies join in w/all snow, weenies starting to report sticking to grassy surfaces, then a little time goes by and now weenins report sticking to car/roof tops, more time goes by then a weenie reports starting to stick to deck/top of BBQ/front walkway...more time goes by, then an excited weenie chimes in starting to sticking to pavements and parking lots... From there who knows if roads get coated? Personally I think some, mainly backroads but how much remaining precip? 53F
  6. That's always the case in these rain to snow events. That's why they're so difficult to predict. Usually get screwed but occasionally the weather Gods throw us a bone... 31F/Fog...tad icy on windshield
  7. Isn't the precip moving out faster as well? Anything worthwhile done by 3pm-ish? I thought late afternoon/6pm or so yesterday...
  8. 6abc snow map...I'll take a little snow w/overnight temps around 20F and high winds to close out winter.
  9. My list in order of preference: 1. Piss gasoline 2. Eat all gnats and mosquitoes 3. Prevent allergies 4. Stink bugs and lantern flies 5. (longshot) Create some sort of atmospheric imbalance which will result in a century of below average temps
  10. Coming this Spring: Joro Spider https://www.today.com/news/news/giant-joro-spiders-invading-east-coast-spring-rcna19458
  11. Freezing fog. Car/front house walkway w/a thin glaze of ice. Roads/sidewalk along roads fine. Oddly enough birds are chirping their asses off like no one's business... 29F
  12. Fitting way to potentially end winter in SE PA... 35F/Cloudy
  13. Looking at radar and obs there some cold spots where snow is mixing like here. JCT should see it as well. 37F/mix snow/rain
  14. Viewing webcams from Bushkill Fall and Jim Thorpe and some lazy flakes....nothing major. https://www.wfmz.com/weather/pocono-cameras/ Really doesn't appear snow will go much further E then Reading to Allentown. 38F/Rain here...
  15. ^ I don't think anyone Philly, S and E will see a flake. I'm 37F and doubting if I will see a flake...
  16. I jumped a degree from midnight til now 5am...35F to 36F. Looks like you did as well, a couple temp observations from Q-town are showing 34F-ish... 36F/very light rain
  17. Kathy Orr: Pretty much squat Philly/SE Coating on grassy surfaces in Mont/Bucks 1-2" on grassy surfaces in Berks/LV Between tomorrow and Sat precip events we should be able to get our drought issues under control... 36F
  18. One of the local news channels had a story about a house who sets up a small outdoor backyard rink like this during the holidays/cold weather. Not sure if it was this model but I have seen this... 36F
  19. I've seen/read a lot of weenie things but never heard of this. Probably because I've never used some sort of snow board but I'm sure it's happened...nothing phases me when it comes to weenies. 38F
  20. 46F here. I'll tell ya a March 46F/sun compared to a Jan 46F/sun is night and day. I could easily go outside now w/just a flannel in the sun and be just fine. The rays are kickin. Wouldn't work that way Jan, would need a jacket. House heater has been off since Sat night and still off (inside temp 62 w/the sun blazing through the windows) Should give me a break on my PECO monthly bill which I'll give back by filling up my gas tank...
  21. Per 11am Glenn, Philly Int hit 67mph winds yesterday/last evening... 43F
  22. * Yeah, Severe thunderstorms with wind gusts of up to 60 mph were detected moving east at 55 mph along a line extending from Steelton to Bonneauville at 7:33 p.m, https://lancasteronline.com/news/local/severe-thunderstorm-warning-issued-in-lancaster-county-tonight-heres-what-to-expect/article_fa7951a6-9e7a-11ec-99d6-8f3c2c2498cb.html
