Not weather related but a topic for the mountain peeps. We have a bear that’s been showing up at our house outside Boone. We’ve been there 10 years and have never seen a bear until this July 4th and 6th. This morning a bear showed up and entered an unlocked car and helped itself to the person’s lunch. We never leave food or trash outside nor do we have bird feeders. I don’t mind the bear being in the area but I’m not thrilled that it might associate our house with food now. Any thoughts on how to coexist? I’m afraid to send the dog out unless someone goes out with the dog.

Is Blacksburg unable to update for some reason? The HWO hasn’t changed since 6:03 AM today and it didn’t update yesterday or maybe the day before more than almost 12 hours. I thought it usually had 2 updates in a 24 hour period.

Check out dog boots on amazon. I’ve used them since fall of 2018 and they have saved my rugs and no more wiping wet paws. Walkee Paws waterproof dog leggings. They look ridiculous but they stay on and work great as long as you put them on correctly. And a bonus is fun to watch your dog walk in them. And now, back to the weather...

Is anyone else having problems with the Ray’s Weather app for iPad? I’ve deleted the app and installed it again twice but it still doesn’t show correctly. The app works fine on my phone.
