Was/still hoping this would/will produce the first something for the season down here in the foothills. So far, the day has not been the best

Still hopeful, more adjustments today and tomorrow.
Same but my hope has went very low this morning

How much more of an adjustment would you want to see for the Foothills to cash in? Only thing that worry's me is the temps.
A stronger low with a slightly more southerly placement than shown two posts above. Going to be a tight fine line this way for sure.

As a fellow foothiller I think we have a good shot but there’s no denying the high risk for downsloping to completely ruin the event.
Little more faith giving for our area after the 12z euro run. The line is tight as it is always round here.

It seems to start as rain for most everybody and then, over time, as the ULL passes to our east the cold air is brought down and heavy wet snow begins to fall in the western parts of the Carolinas and Virginia.
And that is one painful wait time.

Yeah I remember getting 6 inches and thundersnow out of that one. Places around Gaffney in northern Cherokee and Cleveland county got hammered with near a foot in some parts of the county.
We will be riding the line for sure.

Since wintry wx seems to be a no go, let's talk about something else, all the foggy nights we've had! I've never seen so many Dense Fog Advisories this close together. Seems like every other night there's some sort of fog.
The fog has been absolutely terrible the past couple of months. Even down into the foothills. It’s a soup most mornings.

Maybe where you live. A cold April here is highs in the 30s with blowing snow that might amount to a couple inches. A cold may= 40s and rain. I'll happily take 60 and sunny
I agree for April. 60s and sunny or 40s and rain any time past the middle pot March

Forecast calls for close to 2” of rain this week!
