Guess it’s a sign I’m getting older but I think I’m looking forward to spring? Green grass, 60s/low 70s. Unfortunately, I know we will have that for a week before the 90s wanna show up.
Yeah. Sure was nice yesterday. Just want a good spring with spring type weather.

We’ll be back! The struggle to adjust to this new era has been real but they’re starting to make winning moves again.
I left Boone in 04 but I’ve never left Boone in my mind.
The flakes are still big but the band is on its way out.

Schools (Rutherford) just called a two hour delay. lol
Could have done this yesterday. I had a bus driver cranking at 5:05am. LOL
School just called for the day. I drove around in the mountain area of the county and roads are packed.
Radar looks good up north for yall.

Looks like those 2 bands have been above you and below you and you were in the middle most of the night. Watching that one to west now trying to drift back your way.

Our school system ran a regular day today. I’ve spent about five hours Monday and Tuesday driving all the country roads in my district. Monday was brutal but yesterday most of them have been scraped. Didn’t have many issues this morning. But could’ve been worse.

My little cheap indoor-outdoor system which always seems to read high showed 7 degrees this morning. Most nearby stations were 6 degrees or less. Saw one at -1 degrees right close to the river.
Coldest morning I'd say since 2014 unless I'm forgetting some other time.
I bought a ambient station back in 2020. Best investment ever for MBY.
Upgraded to in 2024 to a newer model.
The price point for Ambient is not steep.

I gave the last one a B (I think) this was is a solid A. All powder with 12 hours of snow. Low vis for about 5 hours yesterday.
Getting to use my big pasture hill today for sledding might turn it into an A+.
Cheers

I'm going to attempt to clear the driveway enough to get one vehicle out today. It looks like the Town of Maggie Valley plowed the road leading up to the house early this morning. Those little blessings of being the last house within the Town limits I suppose.
So it looks like a minor event may be possible Tuesday night into Wednesday. We'll see about that potential the next 24 to 48 hours. I've heard rumors that NCDOT is running out of salt. I hope it just a rumor locally for our Mountain Region!
Down the mountain I heard Cleveland County was almost out completely.
