Did some hiking/ running around Montreat today. This was on east ridge headed to buck gap. All foggy for sure. Temp was around 53 or so!

Same here in Hickory, NC. We got 0.62 inch of rainfall last night due to a rogue storm on the frontal passage, but that was the first measurable rainfall in weeks. We need the rain here.

14.9 is my lowest of the year so far.

10.5 at the airport as of midnight last night. I am not sure if they got much after midnight. It was pretty bare over there when I took my daughter home.  I am at 16 inches at my house.

 I apologize to everyone for my greed and basically just personality flaws taking over last night …. Aside from that , my lord is 3 feet UNDER done in a couple spots? I’ve seen a couple 12” reports in their Thread already lol

I got over an inch with that 1st batch yesterday and thought wow I overachiever. I have a little less than 5 inches this morning here in Candler!!! Unreal.
I have seen pictures in Swannanoa and East Asheville of 8 inches. I have seen reports of a dusting in some places. Best NW flow since I lived in Leicester 10 years ago. MET 1985 and Hunter nailed this one. 

Clear at 28 with gusting winds over 25.
Had 25 mins of snow last night.

Yeah I live here in Valdese(Burke) and my point and click says 1-2 inches for tonight. Odd Catawba is under a WWA but I'm not and there expecting totals of the same amount for both counties?
Also [mention=501]strongwxnc[/mention]your forecast is the same also as ours. Wonder if they will upgrade our counties a little later today? Since it don't really start to after 5:00pm?
 

Waking up to Winter Weather Advisories across the NC piedmont.  Generally 1-2 inches.  Modeled snowfall output has grown rather anemic, though, overall.  I would love to get a whole inch of snow tonight.  Anything greater than that would seem a nice bonus at this point.
