  1. GEFS in full agreement. After today, we roast, and practically all the way through the first week of Oct, with no end in sight at 384hr. Pray that they are wrong.
  2. Got down to 50F around 4 am, but spiked up to 55. Looks like it coincided with a bit of breeze. I see spots just west, probably sheltered, into the 40s. Edit Actually, it was clouds. Bad timing, we could have easily made it to upper 40s.
  3. Weekday or not, I am sitting by the firepit enjoying Octoberfest and this gorgeous evening. Cheers!
  4. Yeah we went quickly from summer to winter. Very short fall. Dont want a repeat.
  5. Next 2 evenings and mornings are going to be very nice. I just wish it'd been weekend weather; perfect firepit conditions.
  6. Given what we're about to see starting Friday, sure looks like it's going to be a repeat of last september.... minus the rain.
  7. Exactly. I dont have the time to check the data, but do you know where we are with temps this month wrt to normal?
  8. 50F. Shocked it got that cool. Forecast was 55F. Gorgeous morning.
  9. Next couple days do look very nice.
  10. No support for a cooler regime taking over after this weekend on the EPS. GEFS gives us bouts of close to normal between heat surges, and 6Z GFS is once again straight summer through 384hr.
  11. 18z is wall to wall summer after friday. Absolute disaster.
  12. Then blow torch returns in time for the weekend and my daughter's outdoor b-day party. Hooray.
  13. My car thermometer read 92F at noon. Noon, for God's sake!
  14. The good news is the GFS is once again advertising deep fall. Just another 312 hr wait. All hail the GFS.
  15. The forecast for today went from 89 last night to 95 this morning. JFC.
  16. Thankful to get a storm today. Picked up .35". Mercifully, knocked the temp back to upper 70s from 93F at 2pm.
  17. Actually, there are maples here with nice red color. It's not brown.
  18. It was a ****ing disaster. So far, this year looking no better. There is some early color around. In this un-ending warmth, I'm not sure why.
  19. It doesn't, but thanks for those interesting stats.
  20. Forecast today suddenly up to 86 and 94 tomorrow. Since we almost always exceed forecasted temps, we will be 95F in mid september. Some places probably will be upper 90s. Unreal. What a God-awful region we live.
